2009 was a pretty crap year for gaming MW2 is great and all but such a let down online, L4D2 is just meh, AC2 doesn't come out till 2010

So I would say the best game for PC of 2009 is Dirt 2 which I have only played on the console, shows how bad 2009 was (not because Dirt2 is poor its really good but it has little competition in my eyes)

3 only worthy mentions are L4D2, modern warfare 2 mainly single player an spec op, need for speed shift even those are still meh, 2009 really was awful, I blame MW2 personally

I can tell you bad company 2 will be my 2010 game without a doubt

The same can't be said for MW2?

Modern Warfare 2 is just an addon for CoD4 as far as I can see. Doesn't add anything extra that could not have been ann expansion pack. It also made CoD4 worthless in terms of money and playtime.

My game of the year is L4D2.
 
Battlefield Bad Company 2.

It's not the best game this year but from not even thinking about buying it to playing the beta, completely changed my mind and I love it! Quality online MP Battlefield style!
 
ARMA 2, Empire Total War, Resident Evil 5, Batman AA, Call of Juarez 2, L4D2 and we've still got Rouge Warrior and The Saboteur to come yet.

But overall, Borderlands. Game of win. Until the Saboteur, which is going to be double win.
 
I wish it were Op Flash 2 or ARMA2 but they just both failed to deliver for me. GTA4 also good but not truly great as it should have been.

Also would like to say Arkham Asylum as it was unexpectedly brilliant. But too short in the end. If they release a sequel with all of Gotham City to play in then my social life would be over.

Game of the year for me has to be Left4Dead 2. I've not enjoyed or spent so much time playing a pc game since HL2 or GTA3. Simple and on an old engine but for re-playability and sheer thrills its unbeaten.

I heard on a gaming podcast that the combat on the saboteur is a bit crap. Modern Warfare 2 proudly gets my vote. Best game iv played this year.

For solely PC gaming maybe, but overall its been great. Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4, Tekken 5, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Infamous, Resident Evil 5, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Dragon Age Origins have all been class acts imo.

Er, no. I still play COD4-6 quite regularly.

MW2 adds a lot (including **** things!) and changes loads. I can't think what L4D2 adds that couldn't be an addon.

And yet MW2 does the same thing with COD4: Modern Warfare, infact it removes dedicated server support and console support and mod support etc, so is basicly a shell of its predecessor. See the logic flaw in your statement yet?

For me, L4D2 easily.
