Arkham Asylum. Whilst I like games such as Dragon Age they didn't keep me wanting to play as much as this. Dragon Age I will get back into but it's just not as pure fun as AA.

It would have been MW2 but sadly it isn't. I will say Batman Arkham Asylum kicked a$$ big time! Then theres Need For Speed SHIFT. Definitely a good racing game since GRID. FIFA 10 is not worth mentioning. I played a bit of PES 2010 and actually enjoyed it more than FIFA and I've been a FIFA fan since 97! But if I am being honest 2009 hasn't been that good for us PC gamers bar a few of course...

I'm losing track of when things were released... Was Red Alert 3 this year? If so - RA3. If not, I not only need a calender, but I also nominate Batman: Arkham Asylum. Not that far into Borderlands, but I can certainly see why so many people liked it!!

Mine was MW2 until I got to the "no russian" mission, which left a profoundly stale taste in my mouth.

In other words MW2 but that mission was disturbing to the extreme.

I haven't really played one yet that I would call GOTY. I mean, MW2 is good but it's more or less COD4 with tweaks. L4D2 is good but in reality it is more less an expansion of L4D1 rather than an entirely new game.

The only game that I would probably say I've been deeply impressed with is probably Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Closely followed by L4d2, Batman AA and Red faction. I've not got round to playing COD:MW2 yet, though I'll borrow it from my brother for PS3 when I see him next - though perhaps that statement says more about the game than playing it ever could...


To all those whining about L4d2 and COD:MW2 being rehashes of the previous version with a few new additions, isn't that what a sequel is? Excluding sequels which actually came out more than a few years after the originals of course.
