I would really like to update at the moment as its been more than long enough sinse i last did and the performance these days is certanly justifyed. to do so. no imediate rush though and i have a full system upgrade planned in 6 months anyway

ATi 2MB 3DXpression (RageII chip) PCI
12MB Voodoo2 PCI
12MB Voodoo2 SLI
16MB Voodoo3 3000 PCI
32MB GeForce2 MX AGP
64MB GeForce3 TI 200 AGP
128MB Radeon 9600XT AGP
126MB GeForce 6800nu AGP
256MB GeForce 7900GS PCI-E

In 1997 I built a £2000+ new rig with a

ATi Xpert@Play (it was crap, in really fancy games like Incoming, it didn't render the sky properly, big square blocks everywhere ,crap drivers. It also didn't support OpenGL, so had to run Quake II in software mode until they came out with a sort of ATI Beta OpenGL compatible half-arsed driver. Then QuakeII would run in 3D mode, but with squares everywhere, and generally badly rendered - though it looked slightly better than software) ;)

But, back on topic

ATi Xpert@play (That was RageII as well I think)
Voodoo2 (combined with the Xpert@play, gaming BLISS!)
GeForce256
GeForce Ti4600 (yep, the Geforce 1 did last that well)
GeForce 6600GT
GeForce 7900GTO
GeForce 8800GT

Note how I'm loathed to return to ATi, after the disappointment of the Xpert@play ;) I'm also lazy, and am just used to Nvidia drivers, and, with the exception of the 8800 series, knowing which one is faster/slower, just by looking at the number, ie 8400/8600/8800 ;) That's ignoring recent GT/GTS type rereleases!

V1N.

I think mine goes something like this:

Something very old in my 286 not sure what it was now :S
Something very old in my 386 not sure what it was now :S
Something very old in my 486 not sure what it was now :S
4mb Onboard
32mb Geforce 2 AGP
64mb Onboard Intel Brand
128mb Radeon 9250 SE
256mb Radeon x550
256mb 7600GT
512mb 8800GT

This may take a while:

SIS Something or other with 4mb of ram
Riva TNT2 M64
Geforce 2 MX400
Geforce 4 MX440
Geforce 4 Ti4200
Geforce FX5200 (the Ti broke :()
Geforce FX5900Ultra
Geforce 6800GT
Geforce 7800GTX x 2 in SLI
ATI Radeon X800GTO2 (heavily modded and overclocked)
ATI Radeon X1800XT
Geforce 7800GTX (for about a week)
ATI Radeon X1800XT (same card as above)
Geforce 6800Ultra (heavily overclocked)
ATI X1900XT 512mb
Geforce 7600GT
Geforce 8800GTS 320mb
ATI Radeon X1900XT 256mb
ATI Radeon HD3850 256mb
ATI Radeon HD3850 512mb
Geforce 8800GTX :D

At the points where I went from a top end card down to a middle of tha range card is when I thought I was going to give up gaming but ended up wanting some of the new games out (hence my latest upgrade to a GTX lol)

I also have an extremely short attention span when it comes to graphics cards, I can get bored quite quickly hence my 'upgrade' from a HD 3850 256 to a HD 3850 512 - think of me as the resident guinea pig for testing graphics cards lol)
