infact this is the longest i have had a gfx card the 8800 GTX has proven to be a real top end card and it has been a year plus since upgrading to it.

roll on the 9800GTX i hope its a bigger jump as the 8800GTX was. i also hope Ati can deliver a decent card later this year to match the NV offerings.

So the list now goes:

S3 ViRGE GX2 - the '3D decelerater' I recall it being called... Or was that the VX?
Radeon 9250 - went 'poof'
Temporary integrated graphics (can't remember what exactly, something by Intel)
GeForce 6200 LE - sold
Integrated graphics - S3 UniChrome.
Radeon X1650 Pro - Going to sell.
GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB - got it second hand and cheap. Still 3x the power of my old card which isn't bad. :)

S3 Virge GX 1mb
Same S3 Virge GX with 2mb (it was upgradeable!!!)
S3 Virge GX with Voodoo 2 12mb
S3 Virge GX with SLI Voodoo 2's
Voodoo 3 Rush
Voodoo 4 4500
(stop building for 1 year)
Geforce 6800 (Unlocked)
Geforce 5500
Geforce 6200
Geforce 6600
Geforce 6600GT SLI (had 3 sets, each one blew now I'll doubt I'd ever get an RMA number/non XFX again lol.)
Geforce 7800GS AGP
Geforce 7600GT SLI
Geforce 7900GS SLI
ATI X1900GT (blew up)
ATI X300
Geforce 8800GTX
Geforce 8800GTS 640 SLI with 8400GS powering secondary monitor.

The best one (in terms of performance to value) was the 6800, it still runs modern games decently.

Matrox Mystique 220 4mb
Voodoo 2 12mb with matrox

Voodoo 5500 PCI
Radeon 9600XT

Though hopefully a high end Geforce 9800 in a few months if I get my way :-D

Voodoo 2 for Quake 2 in 800x600 16bit glory
Voodoo 2 SLI 6 months later when my mate upgraded to Voodoo 3
GeForce 1 with 32mb ram(?) made q2 totally smooth :)
GeForce 4600 Ti
GeForce 7800 GT
GeForce 9800 (probably :))

GF2 MX400 32MB
GF4 MX440 64MB
R9500 Pro 128MB
NV6800 GT 256MB
NV7900 GTO 512MB (RMAd)
NV8800 GTS 320MB (returned)
NV8800 GTS 640MB

I loved the 9500Pro and the 7900GTO. The 8800GTS 320 was disappointing after 7900GTO, but the 8800GTS 640MB is very nice!

*Whatever was in the Aquariours Spectrum 1.7kb 'thing' in 1987
*Motorola 6845 CRT controller (I think as found in my Acorn Electron 1.79MHz 32kb rig)
*ECS (Amiga 600), sob
*AGA (Amiga 1200), sob sob
*Voodoo Rush
*S3 Trio / Voodoo1
*S3 Trio / Voodoo2 12mb
*Itel AGP I720 8mb (I think), I amazed my mates with Quake2 at 1152x864 with ONE card & superior IQ using an OpenGL wrapper
*Matrox AGP G200 16mb, I thought was the successor to the Intel but it even struggled with HL1
*nVidia TNT1 AGP 16mb, now we're talking Quake3 800x600 50fps
*nVidia Gforce1, AA looked good but it was a slideshow
*ATI AGP 8500, thought it would be the gratest but was disappointing
*nVidia Gforce AGP FX5900, stuck water cooling on it & ran it at crazy speeds (917mhz RAM) then water leaked & it died
*ATI AGP 9800pro, 464core
*ATI AGP X800pro, unlocked 16pipes before 1st install water-cooled 587core, 1174ram
*nVidia 7800gtx x2, ahh it was good asking for 2 7800's but they would'nt clock over stock 450/1.25 & when both water-cooled with dual-core PD in loop the radiator turned into a heater & they died even at stock, many SLI hassles too in early days
*nVidia 8800gts, clocked 600,2000 & it burned out after 2 days
*nVidia 8800gtx, clocked 648,2020 & it burned out after 2 months (set on fire: warranty void as fascia sticker marked)
*nVidia 8800gtx, clocked 620, 1974 & not burnt out yet
