Some owned at the same time.

x300se (first and only oem pc)
x800xl (best card on list, unlocked to x850xt and volt modded)
hd 3850 256
hd 3850 512
hd 2600xt (bought just to overclock till it broke because it was so efficient)
8600gts 256 (changing cards so often needed backup)

hd 6850 (twice)
hd 6950 (flashed to 6970)
hd 7950
gtx 960

Just worked out that net cost of ownership of all cards (except first) under £1000 and I still have the last one.

May as well add to the list. A fun exercise. x800xl remains my favourite card.

gtx 1060 6gb
gtx 1070

gtx 1080
rx 580
gtx 1080ti

Some damn impressive lists here, mine stretches quite far back (1998) but is fairly humble.

integrated 8Mb ATI Rage Pro (I still remember the joy I felt when ATI released an OpenGL driver-I could finally play Quake 3...at low settings with vertex lighting :p)
3D Prophet Kyro 4000XT 32Mb (tile-based rendering FTW!)
ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128Mb
Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 256Mb
ATI Radeon X1950 PRO 256Mb
ATI HD4870 512Mb
ATI Radeon HD5850 1Gb
Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 1.25Gb
NVidia GeForce GTX 680 2Gb

I'm thinking of returning to the red team with an R9 290X though I'll wait to see what the GTX 780 Ti offers.

I can add the following in the last 10 years:

GTX 780
GTX 970 (RMA replacement for the above)
GTX 980 Ti
GTX 1080 Ti
6800 XT

Slowing down it seems, 5 cards in a decade vs 7 in the previous one.

ATI Rage something - I got this with a Packard Bell with Pentium 3 450Mhz PC
Voodoo3 3000 - I bought this when on holiday in Miami and brought it home
GeForce 3, Ti 200 - I owned this for one night, with PC and other parts on the floor I had to jump over my case when fitting, landed on the Geforce and broke a component off (my one and only GPU catastrophe)
Geforce - FX 5200
ATI 9800 Pro (bought this late as couldn't afford at the time, that's why FX 5200 preceded it)
X800XT PE
7600 GT OC (Had it for three weeks) https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/7600gt-vs-x1900xt.17793804/#post-10336489 stumbled on my own comment with a google search trying to remember the order of when I had the cards :D
X1900XT
2900 Pro -_-
8800GTX
4850 (flashed to 4870)
6950 (flashed to 6970)
SLI 680s (My MSI lightnings)
290X (the hoover)
GTX 1070
RTX 3080

1 mb Cirrus Logic VLB
Matrox Millenium - added ram upgrade for a tenner when they went EOL
Voodoo 1
Voodoo 2 - added a second when they dropped to fifty quid

Wow theres a lot who have gone through a LOT of cards! My journey starts in 1995. I didn't upgrade that much (2.5-3 years average) but many of the cards i had were good and lasted well.

S3 Virge 1MB
+ Orchid Voodoo 4MB (The biggest WOW moment. Was completely obsolete within 2 years)
Matrox G200 + Creative Voodoo2 12MB
Nvidia Geforce 256 DDR
ATi Radeon 9700 PRO (Absolute beast for its time)
Nvidia 8800 GT
AMD 6950XT

Ati Radeon X850XT PE
Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX - one of the best cards of its generation
HD Radeon 5850
HD Radeon 5850 (xfire)
Radeon 7970 GHz edition - one of the best cards I ever owned
Got married :D
RX580
Nvidia RTX 3060Ti - current

1985, 10 years old
ZX Spectrum+
Atari ST
Amiga 500
486 SX25
Voodoo something or other
AGP something or other
9600pro
9800pro
X800XT
RX-800 MSI
GTX-260 Gainward
GTX-470 Asus
GTX-580 Asus
GTX-970 Asus
GTX-1080Ti MSI
RTX-3090Ti MSI

Which one sticks in my memory the most, probably the 9600pro or 9800pro, one of them was a beast at the time if I remember correctly.

3dfx Voodoo Banshee
Radeon 9600Pro
GeForce 5900XT
GeForce 6800GT
GeForce 7800GT
Radeon X1900XT
GeForce 8800GT
Radeon HD4870
GTX460
GTX480
GTX670
GTX780
GTX980Ti
GTX1080Ti
RTX3080

Craazy flurry of six cards in four years from the 9600Pro to the 8800GT, and also four GTX cards in four years from the 460 to the 780. What was I thinking?

My 1080Ti lasted almost as long that on its own. Definitely not planning a return to those times of upgrade mania.
