Your job

Which ISP?

Assuming you don't mind saying :)

Claranet, on the NOC Day team. Didn't fancy shift work, though they did try to make it sound good during the interview. 12 hour shifts, 8 til 8, 4 on 4 off doesn't sound that grand to me! Not easy to maintain any sort of social life when you're constantly shifting around when you're working.

I work for Asda Distribution, its an ok job for people who flunked through school and its full of losers. The money is ok for the work but I want more from life.

Earn about £11.3k after tax and Asda woudlnt even give me a £250 bonus.

Looks at the Times Rich List

Same sort of thing im doing, i work for Rackspace :) Know someon there who used to work at Clara before joining us.

Good sector to be in - there arent many people with good DC experience out there. Shifts kinda suck but it goes with the job.

Hi mate,

Do you have msn?

Carl

This really is a great thread and well done to Carl for making it and everyone with their jobs (i never knew OcUKers were so rich!!). It is really good for people of about my age (19) looking for new careers and what to do with their life and the only thing it is missing is:

How did you all get to where you where? Uni? If so, what courses? etc

Thanks
