As per the title really. What really annoys you in a game? It could be a feature or a particular action your character does..
Personally, I never completed Half-Life, clearly missing out on a gem (which it was) I decided to play all the way through last week.
However, the sheer amount of jumping in this game was very annoying!
Rather, my epic lack of ability to time jumps, continuously over shoot platforms and fall off of ladders, nearly drove me to tears and only the sound of Gordon's legs shattering on impact and the harrowing sound of a flat lining character to keep me company, just echoed, "You suck".
Levels where you are required to swim, drive me potty too!

Maybe this is the first game I've played for a while thats actually challenged me!
Anyway let's hear them...

I got a bit annoyed in Deus Ex when "stealth" equated to wondering around the side of the building to find the inevitable air vent that you had to crawl through.

WHEN YOU HAVE TO WAIT TO RESPAWN TO QUIT AGGRRRRR.

/Rage over.

This. Drives me crazy in BC2 :( Although it has often kept me gaming for longer, as by the time I've waited to spawn, I've decided to shoot just "one more" person in the face.

...which of course is the thinking behind it no doubt. Sneaky ninjas.

Other people. I've played some of the best and worst games ever released in my 26 years of life and without question the one aspect of gaming that I hate more than anything else is other people.

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but the internet is full of censor bypasses

Motion Blur / Blue Effects in general...

Good thing is you can generally turn this off in the settings though.

Not just in games, bu the little things annoy me.

Like at work, trying get my hand in a tiny gap to loosen a bolt and when you finally get thye spanner on you get about 1mm turn and have to start again. I end up kicking chaiors over and punching things, trying not to kick the £15000 bit of equipment...

Same story with games. Nothing annoys me at all as a 1 off or if it just happens now and then...But..If the same little annoyance happens repeatedly in a short space of time i'll go mental.

ALL first person shooters (this applies to mainly single player)

Why?

Simple. They are constantly going after more and more realism in games yet in every FPS i have ever played, you can shoot someone, and they will just flinch a bit and then go back to normal??? Some are worse than others as well, i mean some games will have you shooting someone about 10 times before they fall down dead.

As soon as this happens in a game, all sense of realism is lost and until games developers learn this they will continue to do so.
