Your tips to ensure good dental care and good all round breath?

Floss sticks have been a revelation for me since I discovered them a few years ago.

So much easier to use than a length of dental floss/tape and are very cheap when bought in bulk from Amazon.

Our teeth are badly designed. Lose baby teeth from the age of 6 to 12 then expect the teeth to stay with you rest of your life.

Ideally need to fall out and grow every 8-12 years. Plus it looks normal for people to have gappy teeth. At the moment, you see people with gappy teeth, and some think "scruffy sod"

Well humans weren't designed to eat the sort of sugary crap that we do, and we're also supposed to be dead by about 40 so 2 sets of teeth should have been enough.

Fewer people have wisdom teeth now. Plus have fewer wt. Only about 5000 years time will my idea will come into reality.

How long do you brush your teeth for? I’m finding I need to brush for at least four minutes to get 100% cleaning on all surfaces of my teeth and brushing for only two minutes doesn’t usually achieve this.

I have googled this and some say 3-4 minutes is fine but my electric toothbrush uses two minutes as a standard and you get a higher score if you only brush for two minutes.

I am also using Colgate whitening toothpaste which has an abrasiveness RDA of 124, should I use a less abrasive toothpaste? Don‘t want to damage the enamel on my teeth or use too much pressure. This is the one I’m currently using https://www.colgate.com/en-gb/products/toothpaste/colgate-total-whitening-toothpaste

My brush this morning lasted 4:46 and I achieved 100% coverage on all sides of teeth. Out of that 4:46 I applied overpressure for 5 seconds on the outside, 2 seconds on the chewing side and 6 seconds on the inside so 13 seconds in total, is that bad?

Are there people who don't include that as part of brushing their teeth? I'd just assumed it was a routine part of doing so. Teeth, gums, tongue, all in one go. Do some people clean just their teeth and nothing else? If so, why?

I’ve never heard about cleaning
