I only work 9-10hrs a day, sometimes more often than not, on a Friday I'll do around 8hrs - I like to leave early on a Friday so try and leave by 5pm at the latest

So quite happy with my work hours - life's pretty good

My contract says a minimum of 40hrs, but work is so flexible with my life and I get so many perks with work, that I don't mind putting a bit of extra effort in, and I actually enjoy being at work. :) If I can do a bit of extra work meaning I can leave early later in the week, then so be it.

I'm no longer at work for 730, I stroll in around 820am now, meaning I have a lie till 645  Life is GOOD!

Ultimately, as long as I get my work done, I don't feel obliged to stay - I stay because I like to get ahead on work for making my own life easier. :) I don't get paid overtime, but that doesn't bother me.

49 hour weeks, we work long days 7am-6pm monday to thursday and then go home at 2pm on a friday so the weekend still feels full.
When things are quieter we go home at 5pm but right now its busy so hours are up. We get paid time and a half for overtime, I have no idea why anyone would do overtime for nothing.

Technically 48 hours a week. I'm enjoying a zero hours week this week to make up for hours worked in the week over this amount. The NHS is a funny organisation, it would be very simple to ask us to opt out of the working time directive, but it would mean they would have to pay us more. Unfortunately to get training we have to do extra hours, that's life I suppose, and I can't just clock off at a set time if there's work still to be done. To be honest, work doesn't feel like work most days so I can't complain at all... It's challenging and hard, but enjoyable most days.

Well my hours are pretty flexible really. 37 hours a week . As long as I'm in core hours of 10-4 Mon-Thurs I can pretty much do what I want providing I make up the 37 hours. I generally work a little more than this however. I'd fall in the 7-8 category normally.

Monday to Thursday - 8 till 4, half hour break at 10, hour lunch at 12:30 and another half hour break at 3

Friday - 8 till 12, half hour break at 10

7-8 hours usually.

Tend to get in at about 8:30ish and leave at 5:30ish but it's very flexible. I also nearly always take an hour for lunch, got to love the French! :D

Tend to work about 8 and a half hours a day. I'm on flexi-time and have to be in the office from 10am to 12 am and then again from 2pm to 4pm each week day, which means I get to take 2 hours for lunch if I want (which i do on tuesdays and thursdays, to go swimming). As long as I make up at least 37.5 a week it's all good. Though no-one keeps track. Tend to do about 42/week,

9-10 hours a day. Contracted to 7.25 a day.

I work very flexible hours but do a lot of time.

I work a 36 hour week split over four days - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Friday. Every day is 8am to 5:30pm with 30 minute lunch. Entirely my choice.

I could have done it over 5 days like the rest of the staff but I prefer this way as I do get more done and I have more time for my own life !

If I were paid hourly I'd do a lot more overtime than I do now, but I don't think I'm a mug doing a few hours over my contracted hours. I have a sense of duty and like to get my work done, and make sure I'm not letting my colleagues down either. As long as it doesn't affect my work / life balance then it's all good. It's not a big deal doing a few hours extra a week, certainly if it means I can escape at a decent time on Friday and make my work load more manageable for the next day or week then so much the better :)
