Me and a friend got a bus to a random town in Poland (Osno Lubuskie) for no particular reason.
It was a beautiful sunny day, and we lay on the grass outside the church watching a hawk hunting and catching a pigeon.
I started to feel a bit nauseous and did the obvious thing- tried to ignore it. It got worse.
I decided it was kill or cure time and went for something to eat. I ate one mouthful of my pizza and immediately knew I would puke. I rushed to the loo (scoped out in advance) but the door was locked.
Time was short, so I burst outside and projectile vomited everywhere. Most of it went over the window of the ice cream shop, some on the wall and some on me.
The locals seemed unimpressed, and the ice cream woman shouted at me and gave me a bucket, mop and rags. I was too weakened, so my mate had to clean it off.
My shirt, socks and trainers were ruined, so I binned the socks and tshirt while my mate went to the shop and bought me a terrible tshirt. I dunked my trainers in the cleaning bucket and called it good.
To make it worse, we went to get our bus back and it didn't arrive. About 90 minutes later, some local (the only one except the town drunk) who spoke English told us it was a holiday and we had another two hours to wait.
I then had to sit on a boiling bus, stinking, praying I wouldn't puke and get dumped in the middle of nowhere.
It wasn't the best day.
