I block as many ads as i can via proxy/pihole and adblock - plus now started blocking sponser segments in videos as well.

See i dont mind folk making money for there work but as per usual things get greedy and out of hand quickly. Sometime you see 3 or more youtube ads in one video and thats not including sponsor ****.
Same with web pages,....... one or two is fine but then you just get ads plastered everywhere and... well they can f off.

Doesn't bother me, I am saving money. Playing less for the same services, not like its pirating. Its smart.

Anyone left YouTube running and after a while the ad is some 2 hour long stream of people in the Philippines eating a bbq or similar?

I leave it running for my kids sometimes and I come in to coffee farmers with ad in the corner and it being 2 hours plus long

Yup that'll do. You need an indian address, I typed in a couple of numbers and let google autofill find a random address.

I only have my normal spanish debit/credit cards. Apart from a few cents for currency change commission, any drawback?

Many thanks! Will try it out. Found tunnelbear.com gives you a free VPN with 500 mb of data per month. Has an India endpoint as well.
