YouTube Premium

Wow, looks like they rumbled a big batch of people today :D Only way of getting around it at the moment is paying for it via a foreign Apple account using foreign gift cards, and then paying for Youtube via your balance. That way Youtube has no payment information that they can go by. It's a bit of a pain but not the worst, happy to do it for the savings. I can't see them catching onto this too easily, they have no payment records to go by, and only the location of the IP using the account, which I don't think they could cancel Premium over without disrupting genuine people.
I think you are underestimating how ‘obvious’ it would be still. Sure it might take some time while they deal with the bigger issue but I wouldn’t be be counting your chickens just yet.

Realistically, the number of people who genuinely live in a cheaper country but spend 99.9999 of of their time in the U.K. and exclusively watch English content is near zero.

It’s obvious that they fudging their location.

Not only that, it will be really obvious when they know that they have just kicked that same person out of premium for country hopping.

Yip got my months notice of needing a card issued in Argentina this evening. Next payment isn’t due until near the end of the month so I should have the guts of 2 months before I need to start speaking a new language.

It seems odd to me that Google doesn't like you paying from premium via a different country and yet they don't seem to look at the locations of the devices you're streaming to are located. I would have assumed they'd just look at where you're streaming from and if you're there for a period of time, say 2 months, then you get hit with a notification that you're being evicited. Unless you're all using VPNs, but I doubt that.

Got my email :(

Ah well, their loss. I'll find another way to block YouTube ads & I'm sure I'll find a great deal on a different music service with BF just a few weeks away.
