YouTube Premium

When I used windscribe it had multiple servers for Turkey, one had different currency, other two had Lira, have you tried them all, think there are 3?
I had not spotted that!

Some success sort of, had not read your message so was back with urban vpn.

next stages of using the browser add in for edge and opera failed on the laptop,
So tried the install, this worked
Connect and confirmed location vpn turkey

Cannot confirm country message in yotube though, so blacklisted I guess, at this point I switched vpn to argentina and it worked. Argentine peso's translated to about £1.54. Will try setting up the payment later !

My Re-vanced stopped working again, so want this sorted lol

For posterity sake, this is the method that worked as of March 2023.
  1. Download and sign up to free VPN which offers the appropriate country of choice, in this instance it was Urban VPN and country of Turkey
  2. Activate the VPN on your browser
  3. Check the VPN is working as intended by Googling a search on what your IP/location is
  4. Once VPN is active and working - login to your existing YouTube account
  5. Not sure if this step is necessary but within YouTube settings set your location as the target country, e.g. Turkey
  6. Browse Premium packages and pricing should reflect the appropriate country of choice. If it isnt, your VPN is not working or the IP address blacklisted. Try another VPN. On my first attempt using Windscribe it showed Canadian dollars despite the VPN and IP tracking showing Turkey.
  7. Select desired premium package.
  8. Payment wise, it worked for me using my usual Mastercard. It did however fail on the payment attempt. At this point I disabled the VPN and tried payment again - which worked.
  9. If attempting to stack you need to go via "Manage Memberships" within your account. I noticed that with the VPN enabled it couldnt decipher my location and referred me to help pages. In this instance, disable the VPN and get as forward as you can to browse payment packaged un UK GBP. Enable VPN, hit refresh. Follow steps 7 and 8 again as above.
I have literally no idea why I haven't done this before now. I knew about this hack but thought it was a lot of faff - it took me literally 5 minutes to do it

YUUUUSSS Got it working.

Cheers for the help guys, if anyone struggles:

For both Winscribe and urbanvpn, sometimes default Turkey, even if ip location is Turkey sometimes youtube will say it does not recognize country, just try again later.
Winscribe does has 3 turkey options but only 1 on free for me.

I just did the exact same process as earlier and it worked fine!

For whatever reason none of the browser plug ins worked for me, I do have an issue where if I go onto a vpn website, I get a SSL error, I can only access say Cyberghost website if I have a vpn running, not sure that is normal or my ISP.

So tried to upgrade to family account to get the other half sorted. Unsubscribed from my previous stay in India and am now trying Turkey. Whatever I do I keep getting payment declined. Tried turning VPN on and off at different stages up always fails when the Haliax 'confirming its you' popup tries to do its thing.

It's worth it if you make use of being able to minimize YouTube on your phone such as to play a game or if you need there not to be adds such as if you're streaming.

I don't think it's still possible but you used to be able to lock your iphone and then press the play button on the lock screen to play with the phone locked. On Samsung if you make the video full screen in the internet browser then go to your home screen, you can watch with a small youtube screen and multitask without premium.

Taste the difference - can get/got a Tidal hifi 'extended' 60day trial for £4 total.
seems like they now check registered address on credit cards is in the country you subscribe from

[
I never had an MQA capable dac for tidal - too late now https://www.whathifi.com/news/mqa-is-going-into-administration
Breaking news for my reddit peeps: we will be introducing hi-res FLAC for our HiFi Plus subscribers soon. It's lossless and an open standard. It's a big file, but we'll give you controls to dial this up and down based on what's going on.

And now they are pushing ad entries as if videos in the recommended feed, rather than just the headline one(s) - I guess if you don't have the wherewithal to produce a compelling product people would actually want to pay for you are left trying to beat people into submission and paying instead...

YT are taking **** with the ads these days 20 secs ad attached to a 58 second wildlife video, so just had a go at using a VPN wouldn't have it set to Turkey it did when using India or it got me to the payment page, but then it's asking me for card details but my card is already linked to my account is that normal ? and would i need a VPN installed on the tv to watch if I got this to work ?

also noticed there is an annual plan that saves a bit for some countries but no so option in the uk :( i would happily give them £60 a year for premium without the faff of using VPNs but £11.99 a month is too much.

anyone tried SmartTubeNext btw very good solution for Android TVs and also works on Firestick

I had a go last night at doing this and it seemed OK but this I got an email several hours later saying I cancelled YouTube Premium, but my account still shows I have until April 2024 and had still have Premium in the top corner.

Used Nord VPN to Turkey and paid using my normal Credit card and all went through - Got an email saying welcome to Premium.

Even if it does say you cancelled, as you've paid for a year you'll keep that at the very least.
