YouTube Premium

Yes I came here to say that Game Pass had a 3 month trial of premium as well, I added it and instantly cancelled it.

My Vanced also stopped working with the changes Google made, I don't mind paying a bit for YT Premium with the ad-free version but £10/month for UK people is too much just to remove ads from videos.

I'll revisit again in a few months when this expires, and see if I can just sort out Vanced again or get a cheaper one via VPN.

Had a problem with revanced. Videos wouldn't load. Had to do a fair bit of fiddling but did eventually get it back up and running. Trouble is I'm not sure exactly what I did, although I did delete and reinstall YT a few times. I've a feeling I downloaded a patched YT version.

Also used grayjay a bit while I was fiddling. Ad free but doesn't have the same feed.

I had in the last tried to pay whilst visiting Argentina, and a few other countries but it didn't work. I don't watch YT enough to drop more than a couple of quid per month.

I really can't do the YT adverts.

Not sure if using Revanced breaks any rules here, if it does, then sorry mods.

Both YT and Music are working fine for me on several Android devices. Though after I followed the process I had two of each app installed, so just disabled the unpatched ones

When you say recently....does it still work?
Tried to put a mate on to it recently but he said he followed the instructions and it didn't work and I couldn't be bothered to try for him ....

Not since late last year when i signed someone else up. Mines been auto renewing for ages.

Only think to remember is it doesnt work on mobiles, you have to use a vpn and sign up on a pc, log in on your mob device afterwards.

Currently paying £2.33 a month, incredible value for what i get out of it.

Signed up to Premium after I saw it mentioned that Game Pass had it as a perk. I'm so sick of all the adverts on YouTube now, I know they need to make money, but seriously, in a 10 minute video you can have about 3 or 4 adverts at a time. It's utterly crazy. Not sure I'll pay for Premium after the perk runs out, we'll see.

Might have to try and do it for them then. Mi es Argentina and is about £1.50 for a family pass

Put your vpn to argentina. Gooogle an address in argentina, i.e a shop or something you need the full address

Sign into your acount whilst on the vpn

Then sign up for premium

And then sign out, turn offf vpn and sign back in when you return from your “holiday”

As for paymebt Im with barclays and they didn't seem to care, used debit card

I know you me too being signed out before connecting to VPN but, for those that forget - if you have been on YouTube normally and then try and get Premium after connecting your VPN, you will get the "location cannot be confirmed" error as it knows that 2 mins ago you were in the UK.

You have to wait about 24 hours from then to do it (connecting on VPN before going to YT) as the system then figures you have flown back to your "holiday home"

Never had this trouble! Maybe the vpn you were using?

That's very unlikely and not the experience I've had, no problems signing up using VPN just few minutes after using it as normal. Having to wait 24 hours is just ridiculous and not true.

Much more likely issue is your VPN, Nord is well known to be one of the worst to use for stuff like this as the IP addresses they use have been blocked by YT and many others.
 
Urban VPN Proxy is a Chrome extension that I use for all manner of web related location spoofing that works 100%.

I have Nord/PIA etc and its very hit/miss as to what countries work/don't work.

I LOL'd when I logged in to a guest account on the same TV and in a 4 minute video that I paused, rewound 30 seconds to catch a bit I'd missed and ended up with over 4 minutes of adverts for a 4 minute video.. They 100% dynamically adjust advert insertion because if you don't have premium and watch occasionally you get far less adverts and 80% are skippable.. if you log in on the same device as a guest and you have premium it goes on advert overload..
