You've probably already read this but...

i honeslty think there should be a place just the like the movie , HOSTEL , but where only these type of ppl (well not ppl , SCUM! not even air worthy) , and others , get sent to , to get put down , in the worst way possible! now that would make me laught! a lot! :)

Look at slapstick for example: man nearly gets hit by plank of wood, then does get hit by wood falling down concust.

The above isn't funny, but if you watched it as part of a sketch show you'd probably laugh.
On the contrary, the reason I don't find this funny is because it actually happened to somebody. Watching something fictional on a sketch show and hearing about something happening in real-life are two very different things and the reality of the situation is what takes away all the humour.

Not to mention the urine and the fact that she was ill, those things aren't funny even as part of a comedy routine (except House, that programme is the only thing I find hilarious with sick people involved.)

Well you said it was funny, not me

you don't even make sense! I said how I saw it was funny - you can't say how you saw it and then expect that's how I saw it too.

sniffy said:
Fair point fini. I do laugh at some twisted stuff but this just isn't funny, really isn't.
so you get to choose what's acceptable, even though it's 'twisted', but you draw the line at this?! so the fact that I don't draw the line there, that makes me sick?

he said, 'woman gets urinated on and dies' - that obviously isn't funny. and that's not what I said.

Wow, aren't we all being massively uptight today?

'This is YouTube material!'

I mean come on, that's a funny thing for someone to shout, whilst hammered, squirting shaving foam about.

No, but that part of it is funny. I laughed because of it. Simple logic really, when you think about it.

Jesus Christ, I feel like I'm talking to a five year old. I will break it down and make it real simple, OK?

You imply the story is funny. Others disagree. You claim anyone who doesn't find the story funny needs the help, not you. I say how stupid I find that statement. You come back and say as I don't find it funny, it doesn't apply  You like back tracking don't you? That or you're just incredibly confused.

Twisted is probably the wrong word. For example, I will laugh at jokes Cartman cracks about the holocaust etc. I don't laugh about the holocaust, I laugh at what an ****-hole Cartman is. Unlike you, I don't get an awful lot of pleasure laughing at a dead women getting ****** on.

You're aged 22? :/

That's called selective reading and isn't really a good way to judge how funny a news article is.

Well done, clever you. That's the point entirely.

When you read bits of it, the actions are funny.

When viewed as a whole, it isn't. It's a horrible story, it really is.

would you really spend this much time talking to a 5 year old about it. I only claimed that anyone who didn't find it funny needed help because everyone was getting so personal with me about it. so you didn't find it funny, how's that a bad reflection on me? you get personal with me without any justification, and I'm going to do it back to you! regardless of how childish you think that is.

I didn't say that your point didn't apply because you didn't find it funny, I said it didn't apply because you obviously didn't see it the same way as me. you can't call me sick because I see things differently to you.

one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter and all that.

so, you only laugh because it's a cartoon, that's cool. You'd probably hate the makers of that show, because in an interview I saw with them, they seem to share my sense of humour, as they can see jokes in anything. I don't see that that makes me sick, at all.

and there, surely, is your explaination?
it's not that act that is funny
it is not the consequences that are funny
it is the humour that can be derived from the '****-hole'

(i am in no way saying that i agree with sics interpretation of the situation, i can just see where you are missing the point that he is trying to put across to you)

You might want to read posts 1 and 3 again.

"I know it's terrible but I can't stop laughing"

To me, that reads like Sic is viewing it just the same as me. It's a terrible thing to happen but you (or maybe not) can't help but laugh at some points of that article.
