Z68 - BOOT SSD & CACHING

hey gord , quite intersting topic - I just registered recently and I can't seem to pm you yet (not enough rights I believe)

I was wondering if you still have it up and running - and still happy with it

Or if there are some problems that came up with boot / cache partition

My new system will arrive soon and I would like to know :)

Sorry, I don't frequent this section regularly so missed this. All has been fine on the performance front. If you didn't go SSD for any reason I would strongly reocmmend it and if you've not got the cash ;) to go fully SSD then the cache drive / OS drive is a winner.

If you already have W7 installed on an SSD does using a cache drive too make any difference? Sure I read a review that concluded that the cache drive was only worth it if you had W7 installed on a mechanical drive.
There's no point, you wouldn't accelerate an SSD with an SSD. If you could then you wouldn't notice tangible improvements.
