Zombie attack - what weapon would you use?

Not so, its fairly difficult to shoot a zombie with a shotgun without killing or at least disabling it, if your even semi competent its 1 shell = 1 kill, a 5mm round isn't even a guaranteed kill when straight to the face.

And lets not forget that we are in the UK, its not like the is a gun store on every corner with boxes of 9mm rounds, I would wager that shells are in more supply than bullets in this country.

My first choice of bladed weapon would be something along the lines of a Gladius. Longer blades just aren't practical in confined spaces like corridors where a short stabbing sword would be better suited.
 
For guns I'd go for a clip loaded auto-shotgun (those things with the fat ammo packs on the bottom), along with an assault rifle (with scope)/pistol combo to fend off the other humans.

As it would need,

1. One shot one kill.
2. Require little accuracy (as I can't aim).
3. Able to load quickly.
4. Shots have enough knock-back to push a few zombies back in a clutch situation.

As you can tell my use of technical terms I'm a secret gun nut.

Genius! But requires fuel, would be great to get rid of zombie legs though.

My weapon, any of:

Mace
Baseball bat - wood or metal
Crowbar

Guns if allowed would need to be a sawn off shotgun

Fantasy weapon "BFG"

Have to be several weapons.

Pistol - Beretta 92FS
Sensible Gun - Shotgun (due to likelyhood of finding ammo)
Wish Gun - P90. High ammo capacity, good accuracy and the zombies won't be armoured.
Backup - A full length axe. (not fire axe, as that'll be too heavy).

Best defence... being with other people.
 
I would use my stellar sense of logic and reasoning to determine that zombies don't exist, and then I would win.

In all seriousness though, it'd have to be a lightsabre. Or some kind of renewable energy powered laser pistol. *pew pew*
 
Not sure on weapon something with a bit of range, a bat would be okay. What I would do though and this was something a friend told me, put my motorbike gear on! Zombies are only human so can only bite as hard as a human can, leather bike gear, no teeth are getting through that. I think this may single handedly stop anyone being bit! Put my helmet on for good measure as well.

Bad advice, a normal human or at least one who is not "tripping balls" will only ever bite with a fraction of force, only ever punch so hard, only grab hold so hard. A human who is "tripping balls" will bite hard enough to shatter their own teeth, tear jaw muscle, dislocate their jaw, they will punch hard enough to shatter their fist, they will grab hold hard enough to tear the muscles in their hand, this is why junkies are such dangerous adversaries and a zombie has the same unfeeling disregard for its own "health".

Some areas of motorcycle armour will perhaps offer enough protection but some areas will not.
