Yeah I agree with this. Most of which have been recently infected and pretty much have all capabilities of a normal human except they are raging and want to kill you.

The scene from 28 WEEKS Later where Robert Carlyle becomes infected and kills his wife who is strapped to a bed is particularly horrific.
 
^ scary bit in 28 weeks later is when he's trying to run to the boat and he's got about 10 infected running after him from the farm, and another 30 appear over the hill running towards him.

as the other guy said, its all very well saying it but the survival instinct would probably take over and you would peg it
 
Hopefully I'm not the only one thinking this but SHOULD there ever be a zombie apocalypse (like in The Walking Dead, for example) I would have an absolute ball of a time killing, hacking and slashing the undead!

Obviously a moment of mourning but I'd have to make myself happier somehow.

Killing zombies would be that how!

I'd even Molotov one just to see how a Zombie burns!
 
None, zombies are not scary, zombies are pathetic. I have a couple of major gripes with zombies.

1) Zombies are a self-annihilation phenomena. Yes zombie movie fans, there is absolutely, 100% no good reason what so ever a hungry zombie would not chow down on the fettid walking corpse next to him. Flesh is flesh. Food is food. The idea zombies would maintain a social hierarchy and hunt in packs for that ever precious not-infected flesh is bull.
2) The 'dead body, living corpse' phenomena is the biggest load of bs ever to afflict fictional writing. The body is an extremely complicated system of parts, and if any number of those parts is destroyed, the body, literally cannot function. No, sorry, you can not say 'ah but its just base electrical signals causing the muscles to move'. No, those muscles are rotted. The cells are decomposed. Charge as much electricity as you want into a zombie arm, it aint even going to spasm. Oh and what about blood loss? What about water loss?

Zombies are not scary, because they are brainless canon fodder. The scariest opponent is the cunning fox, cleverer than you and plotting your demise. Not some drooling fetid corpse that cant even swipe an arm due to the scraps of loose cartilage locking its joints.
 
Eh, Zombies might not eat each other but only non zombified flesh in the same way real world organisms don't eat each other but any foreign meat that enters their lair!

IMO The Walking dead zombies have been the best (realistic) zombies I have seen yet!

We need test subjects.
 
You're confusing infected with zombies.

AFAIK Zombies are dead people, therefore you can't get 'infected' from a zombie, the only way to become a zombie is to die.
Infected on the other hand are humans that are transformed either by some disease or something, this you may be able to catch through their blood.

Going from the original question:

Res Evil Mutants >>>>> Left 4 Dead >>>>>> Shaun of the Dead.
 
Yeah I suppose if we're talking about two types of zombo.coms then yeah! (The living dead and the infected).

The infected are the worst IMO, the only thing working in their brain is the basic human need, hunger :O

Whereas the living dead just want to **** your **** up!
