Zumba

I don't understand why they don't just join a gym.

I have some of the Zumba dvds, and you definitely feel it if you do it regularly enough. The only problem with classes is women think once a week is enough, and it isn't really, not if you wanna see results. I go mountain biking too which I think redeems myself a bit mind :p gym is far too expensive, 40 quid a month? I don't think so, I'm on just over a fiver an hour and that would be a massive outgoing each month for me. I'd love to join, cause there is a total fitness literally 5 mins walk away from me, but it's just too much.

It's a form of aerobic workout - just made a bit more interesting than spinning or running.

Nothing wrong with it if people do it along side other exercise.

It's very popular but seems to be dying out around here. A couple of months ago it was all the rage on Facebook:
''Who's coming to Zumba with me tonight?''
''Zumba was awesome"
"Me and the chicks going to Zumba"

Cringe. Within two weeks they'd given it up. Like everything else, it's a fad.

I wish women would start squatting with that type of luster, then just keep it up since they get real results.

That just looks like rubbish Salsa.

Salsa gives you a damn good workout if you really go for it and is a hell of a lot of fun...and if you go with your gf it can really stimulate libido ;)

I'd quite like to have a go but it seems as if EVERY person I know on facebook, once a week will post something like, "omg zumba was sooooo good tonight, aching all over now tho!"

Has totally put me off. It has become some crazy fad!

On the pole dancing topic, one of my friends recently took up pole dancing and she looks amazing - has lost loads of weight and has got some right biceps going on! I couldn't do it, don't have the upper body strength!

I know a few girls that have taken this up in the past year. Don't see any issue. It gets people moving, why be concerned with and pessimistic about what others decide to do in their spare time?

Its about changing your lifestyle being healthier and fitter, not going to a dance class fro 45 mins then having a tub of ice cream when you get home. Women are put off with gyms because of men.

Going for a run = free or buying some weights and just lifting them will be better for the body then some dance fad.

You never see a fat pole dancer :D
