Im glad they stuck with 1080p and moved to Amoled display,couldn't tell the difference from the QHD displays ive had and should get slightly better battery with 1080p too.

Theres zero reason for super high resolution screens on phones. Plus sticking with 1080 helps battery life.

The reason is a crisper screen. The Pentile matrix will be noticeable to some people at this ppi.

Though I guess the people that buy this level of phone won't really care.

VR. Not needed for most, but some will at least want the ability, though really 1440p on a 5.5" display isn't sufficient for VR anyway.

the antvr software isnt live on play store yet but you can install the cardboard app and it will suggest some vr stuff for you. Using it on a oneplus one though id have to say was a little disappointing the quality just isnt there on a 1080 screen

Had an initial play with the VR but no buttons on it so cant see how its possible to buy anything.I did try a BT mouse but no joy.Will wait for specs,prices to see if im buying.
