I reckon they've done some tweaks under the hood. And sped up the animations just a touch.

Could be that. Definitely feels more responsive to me.

Same here, gave it while to see if it was a placebo but it definitely does feel more snappier. Apparently there should be battery life improvements too based on beta users so will keep an eye on that.

Same with my P6. Much snappier on 14. Battery seems to be lasting longer as well with like to like use from yesterday. All good so far and feel no real need to upgrade to the P8.

Too many people just upgrade because there's something new and shiny. Just a waste of money these days. I'll hang on to my P6 pro until the updates stop. It's still a great phone and the new ones are only slightly better.

I always forget I have it. I'm literally always on the mobile site so never see it. It'll most probably stay.

This update is good.

Same for me too. The update has fixed my battery issues and it's lasting easily all day again now.
The update has made it feel new again.
I will still be eager to see the reviews for the Pixel 8 though.

Android 14 definitely feels like a breathe of life into the pixel 6 pro. Not sure it's just a placebo though
