I don't understand how Sabre was in this episode when she was injured in the previous one? They surely ran the semi finals out of sequence?

I assume they film two shows in one go maybe for cost cutting?

I presume they just broadcast the episodes in the opposite order to filming for creative reasons. It’s not abnormal and there is no reason to suggest they ran the heats in the order they were filmed either.

Or who can outlast the injuries of the women Gladiators. Dynamite was in almost every event last week, I'm guessing the injuries to the other Glads means that the others have to step up even more.

To be fair Dynamite is one of the better glads along with Sabre. Some of the others are a bit of a one event specialists like hang tough.

I’m not sure I’ve seen viper outside of the gauntlet recently?

Vipers got a bit of a problem really cos it looks like he was the producers idea of a Wolf character at the start but you’ve got to be able to at least walk the walk and clearly he wasn’t good enough at any of the games so has been sidelined.

Plus Legend has got over in the heel role himself so he’s ended up even more marginalised.

The men are a lot more evenly spread apart from Viper he really needs ditching

The women several need to go as they simply are not good enough, Diamond, Sabre, Dynamite and Fury are the keepers

On the wall, they need to change it, the amount of time a shoe comes off, that should count as a fail and caught, either that or they should have a small ankle strap or tear off tags. Hard for the gladiators as they get crushed fingers, Nitro is damn quick up that wall

I'd be happy watching Sabre and Fury in each event.

I don't have a source as it's only an image macro that got WhatsApp'd to me, but apparently a 2nd series has been commissioned.
I'd be very surprised if it wasn't commissioned for a new series, it's been a great success.

New series confirmed lower down this Flintoff article:

The BBC also announced that Gladiators will return to the Sheffield Arena for a second series. The first series of the show's reboot will conclude on Saturday as the final four fight it out to be crowned champion.

It has been one of the most successful TV reboots in recent years - the opening episode got an audience of nearly 10 million, including 28-day catch-up figures.

Hopefully they haven't commissioned Barney

Average of 8 million across the series according to this article:

That's really good in today's environment of competing forms of entertainment.

Brontë did phenomenal on the wall even though she couldn’t hang on. Dynamite was literally hanging off her.

Edit - don’t know how they mentioned in Collision for the first time ever that you have to keep moving. Brontë was doing what every other contender so far has done, e.g. wait for the gladiators to swing by.

Nice finisher for the series. Saracen was in the audience, and Jet/Wolf were given mentions too.

That was a near neck-and-neck finish for the ladies Eliminator. The mens was more clear cut though. What I do remember from the original run is that the winner got £5000 and the other finalist got £2000. Sometimes a car (Jeep) was also in the prize pot. Not in this series though. Also, the weekly winners also won flowers and bubbly every week on the regular episodes.

Also, the show was originally intended for 2023 and so was my thread title before it got renamed. Tonight's 2 winners were announced as the series winners of 2024. Did that ending get re-recorded with the original cast to say 2024, or is it fairly easy to audio-swap that bit of the script to 2024 in this day and age? Alternatively, was it intended for 2024 all along?
