Wazzat ;) just took Prime 95 (25.4) and started it up

Oh, sorry to disappoint you but that looks like the default blend setting. Mixes in some memory to check. It doesn't get anywhere near the cpu load had you selected small fft's. Blend can run for hours where small will fail in seconds, its not pushing the cpu that hard at all. Expect the temps to go up quite a bit with small.

Help!!!

I'm at 3800, 1.47 real for 30 mins prime

core temps 66 66 62 63

CPU Temp 70-74

So I stopped it.
Whats causing my high temps?

D-tek fuzion water block, single rad, swiftech mini res, and the pump I don't know the make of, 400 l-ph

If I changed the pump to a swiftech 1200 l-ph, would this help a lot bringing the cpu temps down.

I tried a big house fan pointing into the case, and it made no difference.

So what is it?

Pump?
Rad?

Core 2 failed for me at 4hrs 3.8ghz 1.55v needs more ...(testing)

So far I've only touched cpu vcore, the more 'xtreme' your overclock the more use they are to you.

For anything to around 3.8-4ghz on a g0 quad with a good board i would say only cpu vcore would need to be changed.
My P5K Deluxe isn't the same however, needs a small FSB Termination voltage bump to get my x3210 stable.

OK stop there.

You are talking out of your depth.

Nice. What are your other settings that you're using for you mobo if you don't mind me asking. I'm completely new to this Intel overclocking malarky after years with AMD so would apprecicate some pointers or at least a starting point. Cheers :)

add me to msn

in trust;)

How so?

That is exactly what I have gone through so how the **** can it be BS?

mate I'm not going there.

I wasn't insulting you but your post was to general .

I have boosted both NB and SB vcore for low temps at 3.6ghz

you claim none of these values need changing for 4ghz?

ram volts and timings, nb and sb adjustments will also be needed, then there's the multi option, followed by Eist, so there is plenty to play with :)
