January Transfer Window

United have one position which is under doubt for the future, RB.

So what a surprise that we're suddenly linked with Hutton today.

And like someone said on the Caf, the English media has been forced to watch Scotland for once so all of a sudden the RB has had a good few performances for Rangers and Scotland que him being linked with the top 4, especially us :/

Simpson will come good i reckon

have you some information about the entire management of barcelona going mad?

he would be a great addition to their squad! he'd break up the play of the opposition allowing the rest (of what is fundamentally an attacking side) to push forward. Masherano is just a faster, stronger sissoko, with a first touch and good pass. You'll see....

I thought Juventus were after Sissoko

They supposidly are and were supposed to have bid for him in the summer along with Barca.

Supposidly Inter are now looking at him too but like Ripper says with Barca signing Toure its unlikely they'll still be in for Sissoko.

Can't see Wenger wanting to rock the boat in the transfer window unless it goes pear-shaped over the next 6 weeks - brnging a big name or two would unsettle what Arsenal have going for them, their ability to work as a unit. No 'big' names as such (i.e, before they were at Arsenal), it could ruin the whole ethic they have going on at the moment. Maybe a couple of more youngsters to keep this going into next season. Lehmann will be gone, replaced by some young unknown who'll be at least as good.

Man U - new striker, that's must if they don't want to run out of steam again - One of the Newcastle lads? Martins or Owen? Berbatov has been linked for some time with them and as it's gone belly-up at spurs he may jump ship. All 3 aren't cup-tied for the CL and can score goals on a regular basis. Then Saha can either keep the bench warm or be sold, though they hardly need the money!

Chelsea - I would think Grant would want to off-load some of the hangers-on, whether or not he'll be allowed to is another matter. Dump Sheva, Ballack and get someone to actually help Drogba out by actually scoring a few goals as well. Ronaldhino, doubt it, he's tied for the Champions league and that's a no-no really. Probably do with some more quality defensive cover.

Liverpool - Carson is gone, Sissoko possibly, similar with Crouch. If Berbatov goes from Spurs i can see Crouch going in his place, none of the top few teams are going to sign him in reality and if Spurs get the money they should for Berbatov (£15m?) then Crouch at around the £8m-£10m bracket wouldn't be a bad deal. They NEED a quality striker, a 20+ goal a season man but they go through them so quickly! Owen coming back? Would make sense if he wasn't made of glass. Newcastle would want the majority of the £15m back but again they don't NEED it I suppose.

Spurs - Berbatov out, Defoe looking to go - mass exodus if things haven't been sorted out. Need a serious no2 keeper to cover/get Robbo's arse into gear. Can't see any big names going to Spurs unless the Ramos sorts out the dressingroom unrest and the general performances on the pitch. Shoring up the leaky defense as well - must get that sorted.

Few other moves I'm sure!!!

Villa, Pompey, Newcastle and Juve are all supposed to be after Crouch, i don't think Spurs are going to be in for him though.

Hmm, that would not be like Feguson at all - can't play in the CL, reducing the number of available strikers even further. If either Rooney or Tevez gets injured then they're going to REALLY struggle. Where exactly does eto'o fit into the rather tasty partnerhip Tevez and Rooney are forming anyway? Can't see eto'o want to it in the cheek-print left by Saha.

Still, plenty of dosh so why not...

Newcastle have plenty of strikers, Pompey are doing fine with what they have, OK villa would be good move. Juve? Crouch??? The italians fall over when you look at them - every single referee calls a foul everytime someone bumps into him, he'd be off every other game tbh.

Whether they need him or not, they are being linked with him (particuarly Juve as of late) and Harry Redknapp said himself that he wanted to sign him during the summer.

He wasn't being serious :p

Anyway I can't see a reason why Rooney + Etoo wouldn't work.

I suppose it depends on whether he wants regular run in the 1st XI. THere have been precious few English players who've done anything in Italy and there have been many better players than Crouch have a crack at it.

As for Pompey - can you see Crouch commanding a start every game? Sure whilst the African Cup of Nations is on, after that...probably not. Crouch moving to me depends on what his personal term are realy.

Why not, he's better than who they've got and would be an ideal replacement to Kanu. Also what do you mean in your first post about Liverpool desperately needing a quality striker? In case you don't know we signed Torres and he's proving to be a great buy.
