Blast Factor is pretty fun (I'm looking forward to the expansion), difficult to compare because it plays very differently to Super Stardust in a few different ways. I prefer Stardust to BF at the moment but the style of BF is refreshingly different for me that it's nice to have a change every now and then

Tried the demo this morning and rather enjoyed it. Will pick this up tonight when I get home and try and work my way up that leaderboard.

I've not yet bought or even played the demom of this, I'll have to wait till the new year though. Bet by that time people would have moved on to something else

I just got this game a few days ago, so still learning... Best I have so far is around 4/5 million, so the leader only has a score around 25x better than me :eek:

I doubt it, I bought it about 6 months ago, and still enjoy the odd game.

Good score - I just got over 71million putting in almost exactly as much time as you did - 1hr 14minutes - those extra 7 seconds between our times must've been some manic gaming to get that extra 24million

Guess I relied on using bombs a bit too much on certain bits.

In case anyone didn't notice the update lets you check a load of other stats - L1 & R1 will cycle between them on the scoreboards

No I didn't notice it showed other stats off.
That would explain why I was late putting myfilm on.
Thought I'd just have a quick go on Stardust first

I'm not too bad on planet LAVE, but I can never get 6 weapon upgrades on the 1st wave, as recomended by rp2000, I'm lucky if I get 4! Is there a trick to get weapon upgrades, instead of white point 'pickups'?

Arcade mode you play each planet (which each has 5 phases) in sequence until all lives run out (you can pick which planet you want to start on).

Planet mode is just the 5 phases on the planet of your choice and it takes your score on the end of phase 5.

I have a(n unproven) theory that the quicker you destroy the green rocks the more likely the chance it will contain an upgrade, although there seems to be a fair bit of randomness too it - I got 3 shield pick-ups all on screen at the same time on one planet (one of the later ones I think) - I pannicked and tried to pick them all up and promptly got killed

(picking up a shield when you already have one acts as a bomb, very useful in some situations, especially if your weapons are fully upgraded).

If I'm playing Lave on arcade I tend to upgrade my rock crusher first until it's firing about 3 shots then the gold melter as I personally find it's the best weopon to dispatch the bosses with. Notice, the colour of the enemies corrosponds with the colour weapon that's (usually) most efficient against it

How do you get so many millions on just the first planet :|

And man, my thumb is fatigued after an hour of playing.

Btw has anyone else noticed how once you stop playing, everything seems slower - like walking and even listening to music

Don't die, don't use bombs and turbo through as many of the bonuses as possible!
