Is having that much power available actually any fun on public roads at legal speeds?
Yes. Get someone with a seriously powerful car to give you a lift and you'll soon see why we spend all this money.
Mine is probably over 400, but I've not managed to get on a rolling road to prove it. It was making 390bhp at 1.45 bar boost, and now is mapped for 1.75 bar.

It was a 6 cylinder with two extra along for the ride, barfing exhaust and partially burned fuel from those two into the intake manifold. This was not good for the intake and Rochester 2-Jet carb. It needed some R&R. The first winter I had the car, also my last year in secondary school, I ripped it out and endeavored to make it work as it should without breaking the bank. That's a tough proposition when you only work 8 hours per week.
