Traditionally in MMO's and all roleplaying games, melee always tend to be better starting levels, mages come to their peak nearer the middle and end of their levels. Wouldn't cancel a game on hearsay anyway, give it a go you've not lost much if you don't like it.

As for the people exploiting the repeatable quests, hope they get de-leveled!

Why is early release limited, as thats a joke. it should be open to all that preorder it.

Im still in 2 minds as to try this or not.

Anyone had their pre-order shipped from Jersey yet?

I'm getting worried that the 23rd is getting close and it normally takes them 2 days to ship and it's still listed as pre-order, not processing or dispatched

Was hoping to install it on Thursday in preparation for the patchathon I'd have to go through before I could play.

It's bad that it got through beta, I would imagine many people knew about it. Although the people exploiting should probably get some sort of punishment.

In beta people were getting to 80 in a week.

In fact on the Tyranny server they already have a few level 80s

Its a simple reason why some people are rushing through the levels. There are only 9 battlekeeps on each server that a guild can own, fly up through the levels as fast as you can and you can be one of the first 9 guilds and get a battlekeep.

I see on the US servers (deathwhisper and doomsayer) already have player cities up. Those that rush through, will get their cities earlier, be first to level up their cities, and be able to be one of the first 9 to claim one of the battlekeeps.

Quick heads up regarding in game items, as they sent me my key however it kept saying it was invalid when I was adding it to my early access account.

Dear Customer,

The code for the pre-order bonuses will only work once you have
received and registered your retail CD key with Funcom and made an
account.

Once you add the pre-order key you should then be able to claim your
item by typing “/claim” in game.

Whats involved in getting a mount at 40?

I've pre-ordered and have a code for free mount but after seeing what the codes for the free mounts are selling for on a famous auction house I'm tempted to sell my code and earn my mount manually.

£90 for a mount anyone ?

Only 9 Citys per server so only 9 guilds that can own them, what a joke. Why cant every guild that can build them do so.

Because then no one would have a incentive to invade cities, having a limit forces guilds to PvP which is the major part of the end game for AoC.

I thought the 9 battlekeeps and smaller towers were the focus of siege PvP while guild cities were just a place of meeting/learning (instancing) and couldn't be attacked? Only guilds with level 3 city could try for a battlekeep!

Guild cities and Battlekeeps are seperate entities in game.

Word in the OOC channel indicates that between the beta test and the game launch, the devs at Funcom worked some kind of programming magic, resulting in a game that runs much better than it did mere weeks before.

From anyone playing the game, is this true? Quite a few people were saying a few weeks ago that there were so many bugs and gameplay elements missing etc.

Is this game buggy and repetitively boring like the Pirates MMO that feels like its rushed and should be free or does this feel like its had a lot of effort put into it?

i think it depends on the level.. it is obvious that a lot of effort has been put into the 1-20 and more levels but i have not been to the 70-80 zones/quests/dungeons so im not sure what it is like at those levels..
