The All New Desktop Thread, Images No Larger Than 800x600

Cool thanks guys. Is there anyway I can make them expand when you hover over them? I don't mean the icon get bigger, I mean a new set of icons opens up cascading up/down the page. Sorry I havent made that very clear but I have no idea what its called and cant find a screen shot anywhere!

Thanks again.

Use rocketdock and download a docklet call "stack docklet" - it will give you a the dock effect you seek :)

Ah sweet, I thought you could only do this with objectdock pro but check this out.

One more question.

I'm after an app that will allow me to use different skins on windows. I would like something that is simple to install skins, popular, has a large no. of skins available, and doesn't use too much resources.....if such a thing exists!

Can someone point me in the direction of such a thing?

Thanks.

For changing the theme on Windows XP I recommend UXTheme Multi-Patcher 6. Once installed you can then download theme files from the likes of Deviant Art, or anywhere that has them, and then just double click the files and it'll apply the theme for you.

It doesn't use excess resources as it just allows the Windows Theme system to allow 3rd party themes. :)

That's probably the best way; otherwise, you can always experiment with LiteStep (used it, takes abit of effort to install then thereafter, it's all fine and dandy - go to deviant art and look at XPMC LiteStep, beautiful visuals and very customisable.)

For Visual Styles, loads of people like the SlanXP style (inc me) - Deviant Art is your friend for such things after you patched it.

That's amazing. Got a link please? :)

Is there a collection of similar styled pictures as well or is it just the one?

You talking about my background? I got that from this website:

http://www.pixelgirlpresents.com/desktops.php - It has a great selection of colourful wallpapers.

As for similar styled 'vectorised or vexelled' women images I'm not sure theres a website dedicated to that sort of stuff. The original author had a website but its seem to have vanished unfortunately. Some similar styled pictures on here although very few at wallpaper size -

http://browse.deviantart.com/digitalart/vector/people/?order=9

Sorry I couldn't be anymore help.

More than helpful. :)

I don't think your wallpaper comes in 1680 though. :( So I've settled with something else off that site. :)
