I agree. The Hatti Fattners scared the bejesus out of me.

It's a Finnish story and so my littlun (who's finnish) is working through them at the moment. The new Moomins aren't anywhere near as scarey as the felt animated ones we had in the 1980s. Apparantly the one we watched when we were kids is the most accurate version when compared to the books.

Hatti Fattners are called Hatti Vatti in the original Finnish story

My primary school are to blame for him.. we helped the TV co. design that program.

Wow... I remember that Chocky... was quite intense! I remember watching it yet being freaked out by it too. I remember my parents telling me that "I had an imaginery friend was a very young child", and they used to get freaked out because I was in my room on my own and they could hear me giggling...

EDIT : Anyone remember the name of a Childrens drama, probably BBC but dunno, for some reason they were obsessed with finding Salamanders...

I really liked worzel gummidge back in the day. What scares me is the fact that Barbera Windsor was in it lol. They should bring it back and have Jon Pertwee's son as worzerl gummidge jnr and then scare the crap out of a new generation of kids lol.

The Magic Roundabout, Goosebumps, The Demon Head Master and Are You Afraid of the Dark used to scare the living daylights out of me!

Does anyone remember a show where there was some monster-y things that pretended to be boulders (like Stonehenge?) and they went round the village snatching people? I think it might only have been one episode of something but it gave me nightmares for years!!
