Proven Premiership, Champions League and International goalscorer and he's English. If it wasn't for the fact he only had one year left on his contract £15 million would be about right in todays market.
Exact;y - IF there was more on his current contract he would be worth more - but since he hardly got a game for Liverpool last season and he is in the last 12 months with them , I cant see the final price being above £10m

However, United haven't had a player of Ronaldo's ability before under SAF and this could be one of the reasons he doesnt want to sell, the other could be because its Real Madrid and he doesnt want to sell to them because of the way they have handled the scenario.
Think its too hard to compare if there have been better players (Giggs at the same age in a different style of league, VN maybe)?
I would hope for £60m cash upfront + Ramos to be the best deal possible, maybe a little ontop when he /the team is successful
