Just received some lovely photos from the Police, here's one of them.

So I went back to the place where I reckon it happened:

Looks like I'd accelerated a few seconds too early, I was accelerating into a 40 zone... £60 and 3 points for 38 in a 30. Gutted

Only consolation is it's a nice photo of my car, it's looking well

From the first picture it looks like you are very close to or even in the 40 zone already.

As said above, looks like you could be over, but you'll prob never get that revoked.

All in all, thats actually a really nice pic though, you should frame it, cars looking good mate

In the police picture u can see part of the crossroad warning sign, in your picture, you can clerly see that crossroad sign is well, "well" into the 40 zone??

Go on, have a good old court battle lol

The yellow sign in the first picture is in the 40 zone in the second picture :S

Perspective looks a little funny, but to me that looks like you are being done for 38 MPH in a 40 MPH zone.

It's not, it just looks closer in the second pic, much like the 40 sign I guess. I was probably further into the 30 zone than the pic suggests.

Still gutted though.
I, like most of us, like putting my foot down occasionally, but i'm normally doing bang on 30 in 30's... I'd simply seen the 40 sign and accelerated.

i agree with an earlier post, the pic they taken shows the sign in the background rather close up which as you can see in your pic is definatly in the 40 zone, fight for your rights!!!

yup looks like at the time the photo was taken you are indeed in the 40mph zone

It was took with a camera, not a phone

I was stationary anyway.
