Also, for what it's worth, you're well into the 40 zone. Very clever piece of telescopic photography. It's an old trick, reducing the depth.
It's a bit like that iconic shot in Jaws where they zoom in and pull away to "stretch" the picture behind Roy Scheider.

It was took with a camera, not a phoneI was stationary anyway.
a hazard on a country road, though ive only just had my first lesson so i cant talk
anyway unlucky mate, at the college my mate pinned his to the "events" bored

You where deffantly past the 40MPH sign when the photo was taken (20 feet before the crossroads sign)but you where still probably speeding in the 30MPH.
I used PS to resize the pics.
I've not parked on a country road though, I'm parked in the 30 zone, behind me is a row of houses with parked cars on the road.

It's not aimed at your number plate either which reduces the accuracy of the reading a lot too. Most mobile speed guns are only certified for use when pointed at the number plate... special reflective properties of the plate always sends the laser back to its source.

I downloaded the picture so i could zoom in... i got to like 800x zoom and i still cant see the 40mph sign you're talking about
i can so see it...just do what the guy above says
EDIT: sorry tim, but if any old joe sweatsock saw that in just an office, i doubt they will actually go out and visit there. but sure, just explain to your local police station/whoever deals with complaints about speed cameras etc, im sure they will just retract it. when its that obvious, i dont think they will take you to court about as it will be an expense/waste of time against them as your obviously in the clear

equally,if he was doing 38 as he passed the 40 sign, he was CLEARLY speeding in the 30 zone, and so whilst could appeal it, it wouldnt change the fact he did speed.
