I haven't, they sent me 3 photos. Only one of them has Timeout on it.

Depends then on how far the pictures are apart - Is the timeout picture 1st/2nd/3rd? Is there much distance between them?

Sorry, I edited above since you posted. To be clear:

1st pic was hh:mm:37, timeout.
2nd pic was hh:mm:37, no timeout
3rd pic was hh:mm:34, no timeout, this is a close up pic with the x-hair bang in the middle of the rear plate.

All 3 pics say 38mph. It's hard to say how far into the 40 zone they actually are

Just received some lovely photos from the Police, here's one of them.

So I went back to the place where I reckon it happened:

Looks like I'd accelerated a few seconds too early, I was accelerating into a 40 zone... £60 and 3 points for 38 in a 30. Gutted

Only consolation is it's a nice photo of my car, it's looking well

look at the top left of the picture you can see the corner of the 40mph sign, it looks like your about to pass it to me, looks like a photo of the side of the car would be needed to check if you were. Like in the olympics lol.

to be honest, the grey square beneath the 40 in the police picture blatantly isnt the Speed Camera sign. Are you sure there's no more signs round that corner?

If you draw guidelines in PS using the crossroad sign and bottom of posts as a guide, they have you at 38 beyond the 40 line. I would fight it and say you floored it at the sign.

I thought it was just gatsos and other fixed cameras that calculated speed via lines in the road? No idea about court costs..

Pretty sure. Any sign around the corner would be in the 40 zone anyway.
