Age of Conan

Quick AoC question... Bought this game today, intalling it ATM... Which server should i join, what one does everyone on here play on? Would be great to meet up sometime... ;)

BTW... Installation is taking AGES...

dont think anyone who has invite rights atm is online, atum is on holiday, ragu is not active and my lcd has decided to die.

Alas my Masters dissertation now takes priority as the initial 30 day free play has ended. Once that is done tho I fully intend to jump straight back into AoC and shall be downloading the bi-weekly updates while I am away from the fold. I have found AoC to be extremely good fun and can't wait to get back to it. Who knows, there may be a pleasant surprise waiting for me once I restart in a couple of months.

Does anyone know how long you can freeze your account before the characters get deleted by Funcom?

Do i have to submit my creditcard details? It won't let me register without them.

Edit: Sussed it.

The game seems decent, its not polished any where near enough though. Not a classic by any means.

Yeah atm but from what the devs have been posting theres a lot of development going on and a lot im looking forward to.

j0 jimp :D posting from thailand! Will be back tommorow, whats happened to your lcd? :o

Thailand thats cool, LCD just blacked mid instance,10 bars from 80 bah cruel. Ordered a brand new one should be back on tuesday.

Whats the best class to go for then?

Up to you tbh, recently started a conqueror found them to be quite fun and seem to be effective in pvp from my pov and needed in pve for their combat res. My main is a tos recently been nerfed and are unbelievably squishy now but dish a lot of dmg.

Probably indefinately, I have very very very very very very very very rarely ever heard of an MMO deleting characters, hell I've even come back to some MMOs years afterwards and still had my characters there

guys my friend and i are loving age of conan. we both have pretty much the same rig that is in my specs. However mine has always had blue screens after anything from 5 mins to 4 hours. My friend's was fine until he tried a modest 0.2 ghz oc on his cpu then he suddenly started getting blue screens.

Now he is back at stock he is fine but i am wondering what i can do to get the game running stably on my oc? Should i just return to stock speeds forever or is it likely to just need more volts on cpu/ram/mobo. My pc doesn't overheat and never crashes on anything else even crysis on very high details and dx10.

i remember ut2004 used to crash my old rig when it was overclocked even though every other game or benchmark was stable, even ones like HL2 and Far Cry that were more graphically intensive. Are some games just less tolerant of overclocks?

Should be a question for the overclocking section but generally if you want more stability loosen memory timings and mem frequency and memtest it for a few hours.

Effectively yes, due to the way some are more number crunch intensive, so to speak, its why it's always recommended to do some intensive stress testing with a few programmes using different methods before keeping an overclock, to ensure its 99.999% stable :)

Are there still any like...free trials/demo to this game?...why did I even mention demo!? :E but you know what I mean :P

Also, I assume this game is intensive on the CPU in heavily populated areas...or is that just a general MMO thing....not really played many MMO's...and when I did, it was on a cack computer.
