I can't believe that there was even debate about the original incident. It's debates like this why the country is in a complete state.
If someone's resisting arrest and causing extreme problems then that's their choice. They need to wise up, the best way to do this is by causing the offender pain.

I'm positive that some people in this country would rather the police were all off the streets, either filling in paperwork or attending some "reasoning with idiots" lectures...

Disrespect and ridiculous punishments for the emergency services seems to be what Britain is all about at the moment.
We should have a police force that people in the wrong are scared of, not make a laughing stock out of them whilst dishing out free money to criminals.

I agree the officer was right in doing what he did, and you could tell really he was trying to "deaden" the arm to make it easier to arrest the stupid bint.

As for the cuts and brusing, it could have happened when falling down the stairs, before in the evening when trying to damage the car and definately when trying to resist arrest.

Its all her own doing.

4 grown men should be able to secure a drunken woman without having to punch her 5 times.

having been a bouncer, i can tell you that it can be VERY hard for 4 grown men to immobilise someone who is absoloutely hammered and had gone into a rage. they dont feel the pain so none of the usual holds or joint locks work on them.

Human beings are actually much MUCH stronger that most people would think, but the body/brain normally limits how much you can do to stop you injuring yourself. When you are hammered/really angry, these limits no longer apply.
