Very tempted to switch to PS3

Did you read the rest of the thread? I haven't said its not noisy. I said it doesn't put me off because anything I do on it is louder than that. And of course if you'd done your research you'd know that the noise varies quite a lot between consoles. But of course you clearly didn't. I could find thousands of links of people having 3 RROD problems, that doesn't mean I have. I just can't stand it when idiots say stuff like "People who say they don't notice the noise are in denial" and crap like that, because it's simply not true.

Tears.

The 360 being noisy is something you cant really deny imo. Some are louder than others but ive found them all to generally be nosiy. None of my mates are quiet at all not the be all end all though I dont see why the need to defend it.

edit: not aimed at any1 in particular.

So where in that statement does it say I'm asking for more? I asked for some sort of official study to prove I was int he minority which neither you or him have provided. Again I suggest you read the thread properly before making assumptions.

The number of people replying here would suggest you are. And unless google started lying, I think its more than just me that thinks the xbox is a shoddy pile of crap.

Are there any "official studies" say by a leading university or polling organisation that back up your argument?:D

Yep, apparently my experience and anyone with anything negative to say is deemed as an idiot.

Ok how about this for a definative figure.

That large enough sample data to be conclusive?

Can either of you two read?

If you'd like to discuss it more, start a new thread.

What's that got to do with the noise?

What Shamikebab asked (and I reckon it's a fair question) was on what basis can someone claim the majority of 360 users class it as noisy/quiet. He hasn't even suggested either way, but the question does still stand, are people using nothing more than their own personal opinion and then assuming that's how it is for everyone?

And of course you're going to find people crying about all aspects of the 360 from a Google search, but the information you don't have (and which is pretty key to the whole question) is what percentage of the entire 360 userbase do those comments represent. You have no way of knowing that, so it's hard to take it any further than it just being a bunch of moaners doing what moaners do.

Exactly, although if things continue as they have so far I doubt they'll bother reading your post and just claim I'm denying that there is a single faulty 360 or something along those lines.
