How far do you commute to work?

When I started this job a few hundred meters (handy on a Monday morning) now about 40 miles each way (45 minutes). Looking to move house so should go down to to a much more relaxed 18 miles or 20 minutes (despite the AA trying to tell me it'd take 40 minutes  when i've just checked).

I work a mile from my house, I can almost see my building from the house but still take the car to work :D

Currently 200 miles each way. However I do stay there during the week. What area of Atos are you looking at as I work for them. Reason I ask is Managed Ops tend to stay more in their head offices whereas the SI side of the business commute about.

10 miles there, 10 miles back.

Can be anything from 15mins to 40mins depending on when school kid traffic is there and noobs crashing on motorways.

I've decided to go for it, I've looked at google a bit more and I can get the route down to about 33 miles so about 66 round trip.

Don't know how good or bad that route will be etc.

I can honestly say as long as the traffic isn't horrendous and you can afford it then you'll probably enjoy it. ipod with tons of music on, sorted :D

6-8 miles depending on the route. Takes 20-30 minutes. Takes just as long (and sometimes much longer) to drive due to traffic so I don't bother.

Is 22miles each way but due to the time of start and leave I completely avoid rush hour so can get home in 35 minutes if I don't get stopped at traffic lights or 40-45 minutes if I do.

150 miles a day

75 there, 75 back

Although technically thats only 2 days a week as i work from home the rest, or on site elsewhere etc.

Was doing 200 miles a day going between Chichester and Watford. Spent 4 years doing that Mon-Thu and it did get a bit boring sitting on the M25 for an hour or two :( Journey time could be anything between 1.5 hours and 4 hours

Moved to the Southwest and now do 35 miles each way, taking 40-45 minutes each journey. Would be quicker if only people understood what "keep left unless overtaking" meant, and Newton Abbot wasn't a 'mare

You were doing 200 miles in 1.5 hours?

Less than 1 mile when i start my new job next month. Current job is around 6 mile round trip. I'm seriosuly considoring a mountain bike for the summer months to save in fuel costs :)

Soz, mis-type. It was 96 miles each way. I wasn't trying to drive to Birmingham :)
Hehe, I was going to say - doing that speed every day would be an achievement!

I used to work in London, so a round trip of 75-80 miles, taking at least 3 hours a day wasn't fun.
My current place is about 9 miles, and takes about 20-30 mins depending on schools etc - miles better and gives me enough time to chill and listen to the radio.
