Yeh. I was at Dublin this weekend with my wife and my mate and his girlfriend, i drank what i considered to be quite a lot for me, i had about 10 pints on the Thursday, and about 6 on the Friday. My mate though, is a binge drinker, and he knows it, he had about 16-18 pints on the thursday, the same on the friday, and about 15 pints on the saturday, as well as 4 vodkas on the 30 minute flight home.

He wont drink now for a few months then go on a similar bender.

I usually have about 4-8 cans over a weekend, and maybe share a bottle of wine a couple of nights with my wife.

Do i consider myself to drink too much? No, not at all. I exercise 5-6 times a week, and lead a healthy lifestyle for the most part.

Too many to name really...haha

But Leffe is amazing, I like my German beers to be fair...And thing's like (on tap anyway) Erdinger, Paulana, Heineken (On tap in Holland), I've had all sorts to be fair.

I used to love my Ales too, the Spitfires, London Prides, Specaled Hens, Riddlers etc....But I don't have them nowadays, as pubs can't seem to keep them well enough.

I'm going through a Guiness faze at the moment actually! Mainly cause the beers around here taste mank and there aren't any.

Theres loads more, I just can't think of any at the moment, so name a few if you like :p
 
These people saying its dangerous to drink 4 cans a night make me laugh , some people like a drink after a hard days work i know i do. If 4 cans a night worries someone i best not post what i sometimes shift jesus , not bragging but some people really enjoy a drink some people like other things.

My dad has been treated recently for the rapid onset of alzheimers. They refused to treat him any longer because he drank two cans of lager a day every day. They said he was an alcohol dependant bordering on alcoholic.

I scoffed at this, my old man was no way the picture of alcoholics I've always held up to be drunks.

They sent round an expert to talk to us about it. It was rather interesting, how people are alcohol dependant. He said to me the danger was drinking 4 nights per week. He said if you drink more nights on than you have off it becomes like a hard code for your brain. Your body then expects even a small amount of alcohol in the evening. Even if it is just two cans.

He said it's easier to break when your younger but as you get older you will notice the days you go without.

The once a week binge drinker is less likely to have a problem later on than a few cans a night person.

I now make sure I have only 3 nights per week I have an alcohol intake.

Long as people know the 'risks' involved, it is entirely upto them how much they drink.

up until very recently i've drank quite a lot in the week and on weekends (for a few years)

roughly 3-8 pints a day, every other day and going mental on the weekends



about a month ago, funds were short, so i stopped, and only went out on the weekends, feeling tons better in general and am not spaced out in work anymore :)

feeling much better for it, had 2 cans last night to 'see' what i'd be like today and i'm feeling lethargic tbh, no more mid week drinking for me

I had no idea some people drink every day. I'd class you as alcoholics. I know I'm probably the weird one here :p

The simple truth is anything more than a pint or two every night will be affecting your health considerably.

How can you say drinking 3-4 a day is laughable? You talk as if drinking lots each night is something to be proud of. Are you aware of the effects on your health or do you choose to ignore it?

What has how many posts i have got to do with anything , are people with over a thousand posts allowed to tell people with less that there stupid and ignorant. Some people havent enough spare time to sit on their arses constantly and put the world straight now excuse me while i drink my Guiness.
