Hi all,
Do you freeze bread? is it safe?
Thanks
Tastes no different, although to be honest, toast has always been about what I'm putting on it not the bread itself, I don't often find myself hankering after a bread sandwich...
I have to freeze my bread otherwise it goes to waste - would never eat a whole loaf in a week... although they are bringing out smaller loaves in some supermarkets so I read the other day... though these aren't usually that cost effective :/
Sometimes bread get freezer burn if left too long in there though.

No I don't but my family do and it annoys me to the fullest. I go to make a sandwhich and they tell me the bread is in the freezer...WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH FROZEN BREAD?
Whatever you do don't freeze wholemeal bread !
Makes no difference. We put it straight in the toaster and its perfectly fine. Not died from it yet.

if only it was as simple as simply "crossing the streams"

This.
You defrost it, obviously.
But that means either:
A. Waiting for ages
B. Warming it up
I shouldn't have to pre-book my snacks 4 hours in advance, and warm bread is vulgar.
