On the question of Obama's drug use int he past he answered - "I smoked pot and inhaled - wasn't that the point?"

I just read 'The Audacity of Hope' (It's quite interesting, I stayed up all night haha). And while it's fairly obvious that the book was written by a man who has ambition, and thus writes cautiously, it is quite an open account of the rise to and process of the senate. Including campaign funding, moral and ethical dilemmas, policy, voting etc. He seems to be quite honest, and as far as I have been able to tell during the limited research that I've done have a history of supporting the causes and arguments that he based his presidential campaign on. I suppose it will all depend on his ability to unite House of Representative/the Senate, but his attitude would indicate that he might at least try to revamp the decision making process, be that through integrating public opinion or limiting filibuster obstructions or whatever. So who knows, maybe he might get somewhere :), seems to have a great attitude, so there's a decent chance.
 
McCain should have chosen a female black VP to stand any chance. :p

It's sad but the majority of African American's will have voted for Obama simply to see a black president.

Yes. Its such a shame, and so incredibly shocking, that a minority group with a history of discrimination might have something more important to them than policy.
