Dell S2409W 24" Widescreen True HD LCD Monitor - Black

also the monitors stand is crappy, not the best of movement but hey, it only cost me £185. I'm very happy for what I've spent.

Mine should arrive this morning, got it from the MM for £170, 2 months old :D

Got an old dell stand here so will see if it fits and let ya know.

Personally I don't have a problem with the stand. It does the job. Nothing more and nothing less - not sure what more people want?

the inside reflection doesn't really bother me tbh, it's a tiny thing..

the screen looks amazing though, stayed up till 5am playing TF2 'testing' it :)

mines has stopped taking PS3 input for some reason

other than that cant fault the thing, cracking monitor, had it a wee whilte now, the only thing that gripes me though is the dell sign reflects in my eye and actually makes me a bit blurry, it can be a little nippy

Would would be the best way to connect it to my PC?

DVI - DVI
DVI - HDMI

Is it honestly worth getting a gold plated jobby as i only need a 1 metre wire anyway.

Either, but may as well use DVI-DVI and save the HDMI for a console in the future. And no, it's not worth getting a gold plated one as it's a digital connection (you only need high quality cable if doing long runs, 10m+)

I managed to fix this, just unplugged the monitor from the mains for a few minutes, stuck it back on and voila, would take the input from PS3 again, happy days

Hi guys, im thinking of getting this monitor for my uni flat, will be mainly using it to plug it into my Macbook Pro ('08 Model) & my PlayStation 3 for Blu-Ray Movies & Gaming.

Would you say this monitor would be alright for those two things?

Any help is appriciated, thanks in advance :)

Yeah i gatherd the PS3 would be fine as its just HDMI, yea my Macbook Pro has these connections;

DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter (optional)

VGA output using Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter (optional)

Dual-Link DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter (optional)

What would be best, and what cables would i need? :)
