Unless unforeseen circumstances prevent it, the DVD version should be available in retail in March 2009. Why the delay? First various retailers need to first decide how many copies they wish to purchase and there are financials that need to be worked out. With the holiday season behind us, this has now started. Once the scope of manufacture has been determined, then the game has to duplicated, boxed and shipped to all the retailers. The release will be worldwide into retail and include English, German, French and Spanish versions. All of this will likely take until around March of this year. As soon as we have more information we will post it here.

Thanks,
Matt

Well...i havent even got off the damn ground yet lol, but im enjoying watching the videos and taking notes as i go along, this is really keeping me glued to it so far, where as lomac, i gave up after 30 mins lol

Just brought it online - couldn't wait til March to get a hard copy! I hope SF is more forgiving with this than Flaming Cliffs :(

Well in the hour or two I had to play with it I managed to get off the ground but I didn't get any further than the perimeter fence in the airfield :p.

Felt excellent to be in control of as opposed to simply picking the joystick up and flying away straight away (too easy!!). Can't wait to have a good crack at it during the weekend :).

Oh and it runs suprisingly nicely on my mediocore lappy.

Congratulations on your purchase. You have much to learn young padawan.... :)

But first, after you get a few hours of flight (ie fiery rotor-less crashes) under your belt and in order to avoid lots of frustration (and many many more shattered rotor blades) read up on the Autopilot and stabilisation system. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36246

Once you understand how this works you will be able to throw the Shark around the sky like a pro (only occasionally having to use the ejection seat :) )

Or actually don't read up on anything yet, it's kinda more fun to discover what all the switches do as you flip them randomly mid flight :)

If you do run into problems, feel free to ask at the DCS forums above, they are a helpful bunch.

Nate
