Well by your logic any science fiction themed television show is drawn out rubbish. Viewing statistics ultimately reveal that it is an extremely popular show both in the US and over here. They cannot make the story too complicated or difficult to comprehend as the majority of viewers are not hardcore fans who spend hours browsing fan sites and sharing theories.

Personally, I think that although it isn't flawless, it's just about the only show on television at present which makes interesting and gripping viewing. Even 24 doesn't compel me to watch it as much as Lost does, and I love Jack Bauer.
 
random fact : the writers orginaly were going to kill of jack in the first episode. ( forgot why they changed there mind tho :( )

They changed it because it didn't test well when they do there control groups - the viewers said it was odd and put them off.

He was meant to die, and Jack would have been in the tree where the pilot was.

Not shows that are still airing though, The Shield, The Wire, The Sopranos all finished, that doesn't leave many other dramas/thrillers/whatever that are better than Lost.

Don't mention Heroes or Prison Break as they have gone downhill big time. :D

Dexter > Lost though.
 
24 & Lost are my top shows airing at the moment.

Don't forget after this weeks episode theres a one week break in the US so the series can end on Superbowl week.
 
It just annoyed me. I can't talk about why because we're not supposed to, but it was just one of those episodes with too much "woahh weird" and not enough explanation.
