Lost Season 5 (Sunday, Sky1, 9PM)

It just annoyed me. I can't talk about why because we're not supposed to, but it was just one of those episodes with too much "woahh weird" and not enough explanation.

This is Lost...the answers will come.

We had answers about Christians shoes and how Dharma located the island in the first place. I think it will be explained over the next few episodes what happened with regards to getting back - we've only seen Jack, Kate and Hurley and remember that there was Locke, Ben, Sun and Sayid too and we've not seen them. Give it a bit of time...

My only problem with episode 6 was that there wasn't much emotional fear of what may happen. Yes, Jack asked Ben what would happen to the rest of Ajira airways and Hurley bought the rest of the seats on the aircraft but I would have liked a little more 'are they going to die' line/reaction from the likes of Sun.

I also would have liked abit more of Desmond and Mrs Hawking and discussing the past encounter.

Still a very good episode. I can't wait to next weeks though!!

For people who say Lost turned into a ridicilious show just go and watch the first few episodes: Polar Bbars, monster, plane crash in which people survived without major injuries (sayid made a comment about that), dead people turning up in the jungle and a man who was paralysed was now able to walk.

So if people can accept all that, then that can accept the show as it is today.

anyone else catch Ben's automatic lie response to Jack's question about how he can read???

Do you recon I'm reading too much in to it???

And do you recon Jacob designed the 'Lamppost' or even Daniel in some weird time travel twist??

Excelent episode.. my brain hurts though.. :D

Does anyone know why episode 7 isn't on iTunes yet?

Last week it came out at 01:00 on Monday morning, this week it's not out at 19:45 - what's that about? It's been on Sky 1, add it to iTunes already, I need my fix!

Haven't bothered watching the latest episode. I watched the first five minutes and was actually embarassed cause the acting was so bad and the story is just daft. My brother asked me,

Brother: "thought they where stuck on that island".

Me: "yea but they got off and want back now."

Brother: "oh"

Me: "the island travels through time too"

Brother: :/

Me: "yep..."

By this point Jack was saying something in the episode and the words "...this is ridiculous!" came up. Yes sir it is and I turned over. Pity. I'll watch the last episode but I really couldn't care now. Shame I just wasted the last few years watching it.

Come on. Don't pull that crap.

Lost was very good for the first 3 series. It was realistic apart from the fact that irl they would have been found.

It's just gone, "hey let's make more stories and stupid characters by travellin through time".

You can't deny, no matter how much of a fanboy you are (and believe me I was one) that the show is becoming silly.

Btw, that "fantasy" thing was added. It wasn't there when the show began.

Right, and in Season 1 Episode 1 when the smoke monster kills the pilot and redecorates the island via moving of a few trees, both you and your brothers keen sci-fi spider senses didn't start-a-tinglin' ?

I like that you say specifcally "apart from the fact that irl they would have been found" ... there is a pretty good reason for that - the island had always been anchored in a different time (the hatch etc), amazing that you watched atleast 3 seasons of this before realizing it wasn't some castaway drama.

Ok yes I agree the monster thing was a bit stupid and unrealistic. But come on, time travel? It is getting to the point of just being ridiculous now. the acting as went completely south and the new characters are hopeless.

And the constant, "we have to go back to the island", "the island needs them back", "...island", "ISLAND!!!!!!11111", is getting extremely annoying.

Tbh, I'm very very surprised Prison Break was cancelled before this.

Oh come on...it's a story for christ sake. TV programs weren't meant to represent RL, so why can't you all just watch it for what it is?

To get back on track, what does everyone think happened to the people on the island and why Jin appears to be working with the Dharma?

I think after locke left he attached them to w/e time it was in, guess they had to blend in and do supply runs for 3 years.

Nymins, them going back to the island and people talking about the island a lot is because its pretty central to the plot of the show... If you don't like it fair enough, but the crazy reasons you're producing equates to "I don't like terminator because of those damn cyborgs, unrealistic and why is it so focused on them?"

Yea fair enough, but its every other line.

Kate: "We gotta go back"

Jack: "We need to go back"

Locke: "I need to bring them back"

Ben: "You need to get everyone back"

WE BLOODY GET IT. The episodes drag and drag and drag. Nothing gets answered. I know Lost is notorious for producing more questions than answers, but Jesus. They are seriously milking this show to death.

Time travel is just stupid in any program that doesn't need it. If they started with time travel in the first series, thats fine. I would have know then "ok this is a sci fi show" and been happy with it. But the fact it started out somewhat realistic and has now turned into this garbage fest, its just daft.

If i was Matthew Fox, i would have been reading the script thinking, "hmm so Ben teams up with us, helping us get back to the island. Interesting enough." Then, "the island itself moves through time....wut?"
