Lost Season 5 (Sunday, Sky1, 9PM)

Ok yes I agree the monster thing was a bit stupid and unrealistic. But come on, time travel? It is getting to the point of just being ridiculous now. the acting as went completely south and the new characters are hopeless.

And the constant, "we have to go back to the island", "the island needs them back", "...island", "ISLAND!!!!!!11111", is getting extremely annoying.

Tbh, I'm very very surprised Prison Break was cancelled before this.

whaaaa? How is time travel ridiculous? It's not like it was suddenly sprung upon us, its been subtley nodded towards since season 2. And as for prison break, well, its deffinitely past its sell by date and I'm a big fan of that show.

I completely agree with the prison break part, but I just feel now Lost is approaching that mark.

I can't actually remember the time travel references in the second series apart from that one bit when they heard oldie music.

I don't want to start a big arguement here guys. Just saying how I feel about the series coming from a long time fan.

I think this current series is superb. My favourite character used to be Sawyer, but its Locke now.

Getting my girlfriend into it so we've started again at Season One. Got annoyed in the series where flashbacks were everpresent but now its really good.

I thought the last episode was great. Really started to feel for Locke, he's being pulled around all over the place by various people and doesnt know what the hell to think. Come to think of it, it's kinda the same for us watching. I love it. It's just an utterly fantastic show, i love the questions all the time.

Yeah - Lost - 507 - The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham

Just read the Copyright Legislation and music links thread... so I'll shut up now sorry....

I don't know wasn't as keen on it myself, apart from the ending obviously.

Having Locke just give up on life and the island though seemed so out of character.

Well he was told that he would have to die to get them back. Although he'd heard different things since then, I suppose he thought it was worth a try.
Nice to see Widmore as a good guy tho. Not sure how long it'll last but I've always liked him.

When exactly did he give up on the island? his belief in the island is why he was comitting suicide, had he just wanted to get the fudge off it he would have clicked his heels and went about his merry way.

Ah well I never looked at it that way. I always presumed Locke dieing would be a part of the journey rather than him dieing first and that being the reason they come back. But yeah it makes a lot more sense looking at it like that. :)

Who knows who is the bad guy with regards to Wildemoore and Ben. When you tally up all their deeds neither can be classed as a good guy whatever later reasons or justifications may emerge.

Re widmore and Ben, am I missing something or do are they both working towards the same end? Both men seem to want everyone to return to the island. Presumably for different purposes, but for now they seem to be only getting in each other's way.
