Lost Season 5 (Sunday, Sky1, 9PM)

The blackrock is how the dharma initiative found the island in the first place. It was either a compass or a map from the blackrock was found and sold at auction. It was in season 2 iirc

No. The Dharma was on there before the captain diary was sold at auction, as Widmore was the person who won the auction. Desmond walked into the auction room to see Widmore shortly afterwards.

EDIT: Actually, it was a ledger and was found by pirates in 1852. It eventually got in the hands of Hanso until it was sold in the auction.

No, because young Whidmore was about the same age as the blonde woman on the island, and Charlotte and Whidmore are nowhere near the same age in what we understand to be the present. Could be her mother though?

I assumed the girl was his mother? I'm sure something indicated to that. As for Charlotte it appears she has been on the island before, probably as a child which is why she is bleeding so soon. The guy who senses dead people might be the Dharma initiative guy on the videos son as we see he has a child.

Could be, but if it is it's a bit of a plot hole. I'm pretty sure I'd recognise my own mother regardless of how old she was!

Well he does say she looks very familar to someone he used to know. I got the impression he knew who she was. The names were wrong though and now I think about it his mother didn't look 70 in that bed. Hair, features and colouring looked spot on though.

The lady in the bed was not his mother. His mothers the women whos sending them back to the island.

Anyways just to clarify The Women holding a gun to Daniel in "Jughead" was indeed Daniels mother. Richard called her "Ella"; the women who is getting them back to the island is called "Eloise Hawking" notice a similarity? ;)

yup, i do agree on the theory (me and my mate both said it as we were watching it) it seems logical but... is it "supposed" to be logical or are they forcing it :P

I like the anagram on the van that locke is in :D

I had this EXACT Though!!.. When I watched the opening shots of the first episode and saw the Baby... it was then pushed out of my head when we saw Daniel in the Orchid as it was being constructed back in the 70's... but then the thought came back to me when the first Short Bickering Remarks between Sawyer and him happened!...

At least I'm not the only one who thinks it!. :D

I cannot believe this POS is still on our TV which we pay a premium for. When the writers went on a strike last year they should have called it a day then and there, I know that I could write a better story without it being painfully stretched over 5 seasons. The story has gone from being very interesting to totally ridiculous drawn out tosh.

Also what is with the usage of the string section in the music every 10 seconds to try and build a climax? The whole way this series has been going on just makes me feel ill.. poorly thought out and terribly written and directed. This show brings shame to american shows, there are far better out there to watch than this crap.

Then don't watch it. Or post in a fan thread. Quit trolling.

No one is forcing you to watch it.

This makes no sense to me. If anything, it was series 2 and 3 that stretched on and on with constant (mostly useless) back story and no story progression. Hitting the thing on the head at the time of the writers strike would have left the whole thing unexplained, or explained in so trite a way as to be practically flicking the V's at the avid viewer... especially when you take into account that they already knew where they wanted to get to by the end and, admittedly, were just squeezing what they could out of the earlier series.

Only now are we finally seeing some proper applied science fiction theory as opposed to a constant stream of episodes concentrating on the history behind a single character's decision-making processes that affect one banal choice in the present.
