Well to be fair, its primary audience are the old AC and UO players. Many of those people wont mind the graphics as they learned long ago that sometimes the best MMOs on the market dont have the shiniest graphics. (not saying that Darkfall will be one of the best MMOs, just saying that AC/UO folks still look back at that style of MMO as being the best MMOs they ever played regardless of their looks)

Yes, but its 2009! It looks like someones imported the models from Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II :p

As I say, some will be willing to not pay too much attention to somethings looks. Cant say there is anything in life that I am particularly bothered about looks-wise, least of all a computer game. Even more so if its a cracking good computer game like UO or Civ 4. :)

I think more people would be upset with the animation than the graphics as you rightly say. Of course , having said that, UO had hardly any animation and I still consider it to be the best MMO I have played in the last 12 years. I guess its all very subjective though, everyones wants and needs from a gaming title are different. Whats fine for some is poison to others and vice versa.
 
Age of Conan had stunning graphics and look how that turned out, don't be so silly to not try a game going by it's graphics.
 
Graphics look good to me. Just some animations aren't that fluid..watch this in HD and full screen. Might not be the absolute best but still pretty good imo

Oh here, that's not too shabby, the other video linked must have had the graphics options all turned right down to the minimum possible.

Edit: Gets bonus points for having The Prodigy as the backing track to the video. :D
 
I cant even get on the site to buy an account lol it must be very busy atm I keep timing uot with the site

(EDIT) turns out the game servers arent live yet but should be up in the evening

Animations look awful.

Weapon and armour models look awful.

Looks like everyone will be a archer regardless of what else they play. Running away and ranged ganking will be the only way to kill people it looks.

The shop was just open for around an hour or so, the pre-orders went within minutes :(.

Good job I want to wait till I upgrade before playing this, it'll take a month to get in.
