Easyriders Cinema Room

Nice work easyrider! (as if you need another pat on the back ;) :p ). I'm such a lazy toad. I had my lounge extended together with all the speaker wiring in place, bought tv and amp 6 months ago and still haven't got round to auditioning speakers!!

Looks sweet! When I eventually get round to buying my own place, I will definitely think back to this thread when deciding what to do with all of the rooms!

Obviously the whole setup is stunning, but I particularly love the speakers. They look immense. Good choices all round. You must be seriously chuffed.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback. TBH until my sub comes I'll run Audyssey and tweak

My understanding was that the fronts should be directly at the outer edge of the screen.

But research and googling shows that its not all set in stone.

My view is that I will widen the two fronts to allow better stereo sepaeration when listing to music etc...

But some on the preset surround sound listening modes sound sooooooo good with the 876 :D

Think I will maybe bring them out wider..

This is a good link..

One thing I've found with Audyssey - you might find it better to put the bungs back in. I think you'll be OK with your room but i've found with my speakers Audyssey seems to over-correct itself with my bungs removed, it's a bit of a pain.

Moved the speakers now.

I prefer it :)

Ah its a door :o

Did you do all the work yourself, did you use a sparky at all?

Looks tops, whats the final cost?

Yes I did all the work myself and with my brother in law and Dad.

My brother in law is a sparky :)

I got a plasterer in who skimmed it all for 100 (friend of the family)

I'm still working it out.

I have a few more bits to finish,Get the sub delivered and then I will tot it up.

Building materials have been about £1000

Yeah, looks better. Where are you planning to put the sub then Easy?

I'd be having it in between those fronts somewhere if I was you.

Not sure.

What ever gives the best performance....

I was planning to have it to the left behind that pillar where the radiator is now...

Yeah, see how it goes.

I think you might be able to locate the bass sound if you put it there though. That can be really annoying when you're watching a film and all of the explosions are coming from one area of the room!

Might be OK though if it's not too close to where you (or someone else) are sat. You're more than welcome to borrow an SPL for setting it up/finding the best position.
