i hope the improve the online connection system, this is really dreadful.

I prefer this to DoW 2, that's maybe because I was expecting something else from DoW 2 and was dissapointed though. I think they're quite similar in some ways.

The online system is as bad if not worse than DOW2, at least DOW2 showed some things that were going on, even though they seemed pretty random and meaningless

Connection difficulties are because of people with dodgy routers, unopened ports, firewalls, etc. At present, if one person has those problems, the game won't launch, so now Stardock/GPG are working on ways to quickly kick those people out to ensure that matches launch.

Not able to run it atm on Vista 64, not sure what the problem is, freezes once the intro video has finished.

I am running Vista 64, and I had the same problem. It was to do with the firewall. Closing the firewall down didn't do the trick, I had to disabled everything via the firewall software's menus!

I have to disable the firewall to get Demigod to run? You know, that really doesn't sound like a good thing to do...

Meh, turned firewall off, demigod still refuses to run. Cant even check the forums as they have gone down too.

i control one demigod, run about abit, stab something, destroy a castle = job done

OneCare, but even with it turned off it was no deal. Demigod just stops responding as soon as the intro movie finishes (or sooner if you hit escape to skip all that). Not a happy bunny, will see if their forums have anything if they are up tomorrow.

getting exactly the same problem. gonna try and uninstall/reinstall and see if it helps. Will let ya know.

Stardock is borked at the moment - taking an age to login. if there forums are down then I think they are having issues.

So these guys release a game and there network goes down!?!?! You would think that the experts would know what they are doing :rolleyes:
