It's such a shame that for Fletcher, a travesty. Having the opportunity of playing in the biggest game in club football stripped away from him through no actual fault of his own. It would destroy you if you got a second booking through your own stupidity, but for something that was entirely not your fault? Heartbreaking.

I think it's something to do with UEFA wanting the same rules and regulations for CL games as they have for Sunday League football. That's why they are against goal line technology.

It's a joke, if you going to have the same laws and competition rules, then consitency is needed. Sending off players when they as much as swear like what happens in Sunday League games instead of players getting away with murder. Instead they penilise a player when there is undoubtable evidence he was not-guilty. I'll blame Platini and be happy. :)

He's gave every soft decision, fell for a lot of simulation, been very generous to Man United in the first half and tried to compensate with the penalty/sending off in favour of Arsenal. Quite a bad game if you ask me.

He's given the decisions for both sides.
Red Carded a player who didn't deserve to go, and booked a player who did.

two mistakes.

Areee you a Dingle ? :D

You were down and you were quiet. You were loud for 5 minutes now all i can hear is United supporters :)

Tottenham are the pride of London.

I don't support arsenal. However you do need to learn the difference between a fan and supporter.

I suppose I can be happy just knowing that we're a better team than Arsenal (and for some time), and probably the only team to be able to stand toe to toe with Barca at the moment.

Disagree?

You make no sense? I'm not saying he was favourable to either side, just mentioning the areas where he was poor.

anywhoo great performance by utd this fine evening, arsenal are in the same position they were a year or so ago once they sold gilberto on, they need at least one experienced and seasoned midfielder to play alongside Fabregas.

when gilberto was there he was great at doing the hard work and letting fabregas do the creativity, fabregas still does get sometime ont he ball to do his stuff in the smaller games, however he is lackign that experienced partner who will help make the space for him in games such as these.

This also means fabregas attacking flair is sometimes curbed as tonight due to haivng to spend more time on defensive duties.

I still think arsenals time will come as they have a very young and potential filled squad, but at least 2 signings in the summer for me, a partner for Fabregas and possibly a new experienced centreback as well.

Evening.

Manchester United, on the first half display look more comfortable, the home side.
controlling the game, passing well, moving well.

Arsenal, completely lost it, feel for the young lad Gibbs, who's accident led to a goal.
He then gave the ball away, which drew the foul from Robin for the wonderful strike from Ronaldo, Almunia for England ? haha :p

Arsenal, just lost confidence, and have allowed United to dominate, Mr Arsene should get them going for the second half.

Side note, I'm not watching the same game as you lot ? because I think the ref has being pretty even, he's giving little fouls, but for both sides. If Arsenal fans are going to moan about the ref giving fouls, they should stop fouling United.

Seeing the reply, Gibbs looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him :(

Wasn't a red for Fletcher, should have being a red for Ade.

Ref didn't do much wrong, just two decisions.

United were much the better side.
Didn't really change after half time.

oh well next season guys next season, just hope wenger doesnt let someone good go like he did with gilberto, if chelski go through I hope united stuff em, if barca go through hope Henry scores 5

Refs make mistakes adds to talking points, its not like United are hard done by week in week out at OT

If it was a mistake within a league it wouldn't be as bad, but it's a decision that has stolen a player of his place in history, and with poor competition rules that do not allow any form of appeal, it's just wrong.
